Exo is a South Korean-Chinese boy band produced by SM Entertainment. Initially sparated into subgroups Exo-K and Exo-M, respectively performing music in Korean and Mandarin, the band debuted on April 8, 2012 with the single, "Mama". Prior to debut, various members of the band had modeled in music videos performed by senior SM Entertainment artists.

The discography of the South Korean-Chinese boy band Exo consists of eight studio albums, seven extended plays, four live albums and twenty-eight singles. Exo was formed by the Korean entertainment company SM Entertainment in 2011, and formerly consisted of twelve members separated into two sub-groups, Exo-K and Exo-M, releasing the same music simultaneously in both Korean and Mandarin in South Korea and China, respectively. The group's first release, the extended play Mama, was released in April 2012. The album topped Korean music charts on its release. Chinese rapper and singer Lay Zhang has released four studio albums, four extended plays, seventeen singles and five soundtrack appearances. In May 2016, he released his first solo single called "Monodrama" for the Station project. Zhang made his official solo debut on 7 October 2016 with the release of the song "What U Need?". His first extended play, titled Lose Control, was released on 28 October of the same year. The EP was a commercial success, peaking at number 1 on the Gaon Album Chart and placing seventh on the list of best-selling albums of 2016.

The War is the fourth studio album by South Korean boy band Exo. It was released on July 18, 2017, by SM Entertainment under Genie Music's distribution. The album includes a total of nine tracks including the lead single "Ko Ko Bop". The War received the highest number of pre-orders at the time for a K-pop album, with more than 800,000 physical copies. 24 days after being released, it became Exo's first album to have sold over 1 million copies with a single release. The War became Exo's fifth consecutive album win Album of the Year and the MAMA Awards.

Countdown is the first Japanese-language studio album by South Korean boy band Exo. It was released by Avex Trax and SM Entertainment Japan on January 31, 2018. The album contains previously released Japanese tracks along with four new songs, including the lead song "Electric Kiss".

Don't Mess Up My Tempo is the fifth studio album by South Korean boy band Exo. It was released on November 2, 2018, by SM Entertainment. Member Lay is featured in the Chinese version of lead track, "Tempo", marking his first appearance with the group since Winter EP, For Life (2016). It is available in four versions: Allegro, Moderato, Andante and Vivace, named after types of tempo. The album debuted at number one on the Gaon Album Chart. The album was repackaged as Love Shot on December 13, 2018.
