Fact Check is the fifth Korean studio album (sixth overall) by South Korean boy band,NCT 127. It was released on October 6,2023,under SM Entertainment and consists of nine tracks including the lead single of the same name. [3] [4]
On August 26,2023,NCT 127 announced they would be making a comeback during their performance at NCT Nation:To the World. [5] SM Entertainment confirmed the news the next day,announcing their fifth full album's title and release date. [6]
To promote the album,it was announced that NCT would be holding a "Night of Festival" to showcase the album following its release. [7] [8] On the same day,the group also held a press conference,to commemorate the album's release. [9] The album was promoted with 8 members as a result of Taeil's injuries sustained in a motorcycle incident. [10]
Rolling Stone gave the album a positive review,writing,"You can hear the recent maturation fill even the smallest corners of Fact Check,which,without departing from their genre-hopping tendencies,is considered and clearly articulated in mood and emotion." [11]

The day after its release,the album debuted at number one on several real-time music charts,including the Hanteo chart in South Korea,the Line Music chart in Japan,and the QQ Music chart in China. [13]

The discography of the South Korean boy group NCT consists of four studio albums and thirteen singles. The multi-national boy group was formed by SM Entertainment in 2016 and comprises multiple sub-units that occasionally reunite to release new music as NCT and NCT U. In 2018, the group released their first studio album, NCT 2018 Empathy, which peaked at number two on South Korea's Circle Album Chart and received a 2× platinum certification, awarded by the Korea Music Content Association (KMCA). Their next album, NCT 2020 Resonance, was released in two parts, which topped the Circle Album Chart, earning NCT their first number-one in the country. Both parts sold over 1.5 million copies and were certified Million by the KMCA. The album became NCT's first entry on national charts in Canada, Hungary, the Flanders and the United States. One of its lead singles, "Make a Wish", reached number 14 on the Circle Digital Chart, becoming NCT's first top 15 hit in South Korea, and peaked at number 126 the Billboard 200, becoming NCT's first song to enter the chart. In 2021, the group released Universe, which became their third number-one album in South Korea and first number-one album in Japan. NCT released their fourth studio album, Golden Age, in 2023.

South Korean boy band NCT Dream have released three studio albums, two reissues, one live album, six extended plays, three single album, and fifteen singles. A sub-unit of the boy band NCT, the group debuted in 2016 with the digital single "Chewing Gum", which was later featured on their first single album The First, released alongside its lead single "My First and Last" in 2017. Later that year, they released their first extended play, We Young, alongside its lead single of the same name. In 2018, they recorded the single "Go" for NCT's first studio album as a complete group, titled NCT 2018 Empathy. Their second extended play, We Go Up, was their first entry on the Oricon Albums Chart, charting at number 11. It was released in September 2018 alongside its lead single of the same name. The following year, they released their third extended play, We Boom. It spawned one single, "Boom". Their first Japanese-language extended play, The Dream, released in January 2020, was their first release to chart atop the Oricon Albums Chart. In April 2020, they released their fifth extended play, Reload. It spawned one single, "Ridin'".
Lee Tae-yong, known mononymously as Taeyong, is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, and dancer. He is a member and leader of South Korean boy band NCT under SM Entertainment, having debuted in the group's first sub-unit, NCT U, in 2016 and becoming the leader of its second sub-unit, NCT 127, later that year. In 2019, he debuted as a member of the South Korean supergroup SuperM, a joint project under SM Entertainment and Capitol Records. As a songwriter, Taeyong has participated in writing over 40 songs in four languages, released mostly by NCT's various units and himself as a soloist. He made his official solo debut in June 2023 with his EP Shalala, making him the first soloist from NCT.
Sticker is the third Korean-language and fourth overall studio album by South Korean boy band NCT 127. It was released on September 17, 2021, by SM Entertainment, distributed by Dreamus in South Korea and Virgin Music in United States. It follows their Japanese-language EP Loveholic, released in February 2021, and previous Korean-language studio album Neo Zone, released in March 2020. On October 25, the group released a repackaged version of Sticker, titled Favorite, which features three new tracks, including the lead single "Favorite (Vampire)".
Attacca is the tenth extended play (EP) by the South Korean boy band Seventeen released on October 22, 2021 by Pledis Entertainment. The EP contains seven tracks, which include the lead single "Rock with You".
Universe is the third studio album and ninth album overall by South Korean boy band NCT. It was released on December 14, 2021, by SM Entertainment. Similar to their previous releases NCT 2018 Empathy and NCT 2020 Resonance, NCT 2021 Universe is part of "NCT 2021" project; which saw all current NCT members from several units collaborating on a full-length release. This time, the album features 21 out of 23 members from three current units of NCT; NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV. Members Lucas and Winwin were unable to participate. Universe is NCT's final album to feature Shotaro and Sungchan, who both withdrew from the group in May 2023.
2 Baddies is the fourth Korean-language studio album by South Korean boy band NCT 127. It was released on September 16, 2022, by SM Entertainment, and contains 12 tracks in a variety of genres, including the lead single of the same name. The album received positive reviews from critics, who praised the versatility of the tracks that range from hip hop to R&B. On January 30, 2023, the group released a repackaged version of 2 Baddies, titled Ay-Yo, which features three new tracks, including the lead single of the same name. The album has sold a total of 3.2 million copies, becoming NCT 127's second triple million-selling album following Sticker (2021).
FML is the eleventh extended play (EP) by South Korean boy band Seventeen. It was released on April 24, 2023, by Pledis Entertainment through YG Plus, with "F*ck My Life" and "Super" serving as the EP's double lead singles.
5-Star is the third Korean-language studio album by South Korean boy band Stray Kids. It was released on June 2, 2023, through JYP Entertainment and Republic Records, following their seventh EP Maxident (2022). A combination of hip hop, pop, and electronica elements, 5-Star lyrically addresses themes of uniqueness, confidence, and aspirations.
Dark Blood is the fourth extended play (EP) by South Korean boy group Enhypen. It was released on May 22, 2023, through Belift Lab. The album consists of six tracks, including the lead single "Bite Me". The theme of the EP is heavily influenced by the group's fantasy webtoon series Dark Moon: The Blood Altar, which features vampire characters based on the seven group members.
ISTJ is the third studio album by South Korean boy band NCT Dream. Released on July 17, 2023, by SM Entertainment through Kakao Entertainment, the album consists of 10 tracks and is supported by the singles "Broken Melodies" and "ISTJ".
The Name Chapter: Freefall is the fifth overall studio album by South Korean boy band Tomorrow X Together. It was released through Big Hit Music and Republic Records on October 13, 2023. The album contains a sole guest appearance from American pop rock band Jonas Brothers. It was supported by two singles: "Do It Like That", a collaboration with the Jonas Brothers, and "Chasing That Feeling". The song "Back for More" was also released before the album in a version that is a collaboration with Brazilian singer Anitta, but a solo version by the band is included on the album. The album follows their 2023 extended play, The Name Chapter: Temptation, and was announced on August 29, 2023.
Golden is the debut studio album by South Korean singer Jungkook of BTS, released on November 3, 2023, through Big Hit Music. Primarily a pop record and an all English album, it was met with generally favorable reviews from critics. It features guest appearances by Jack Harlow, Major Lazer, Latto and DJ Snake. Neo City – The Unity was third concert tour headlined by NCT 127, the Seoul-based sub-unit of South Korean boy group NCT, in support of their fifth studio album Fact Check (2023). The tour began in November 2023 with six shows at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, South Korea, and continue in 2024 with 13 additional shows in Asia. The tour concluded on March 10, 2024, in Tokyo, Japan.
