Falconcity of Wonders (FCW) is a Dubai-based real-estate project [1] working as a subsidiary of Salem Ahmad AlMoosa Enterprises founded in 2005. [2] [3] The project includes international-themed villas, spacious apartments, shopping malls, hotels, business offices, fine-dining restaurants, health clubs, spas, nurseries, schools and parks.

Project history

Falconcity of Wonders L.L.C. is a subsidiary of Salem Ahmad Al Moosa Enterprises that was founded in 2005. [2] After having a long delayed period in which 10% of the development was done, the project was re-initiated in February 2016 after US$2 billion funding for new developments. [4] [5] [6]

The company having over 30 years of experience in the real-state sector covers an area of over 41 million square feet, featuring residential, commercial, leisure and mixed-use developments, to cater to the needs of residents, tourists, investors, and visitors. The project includes different luxurious international-themed villas, spacious apartments, shopping malls, hotels, premium business offices, fine-dining restaurants, health clubs, spas, nurseries, schools, and parks.

This mega project is inspired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's strategic vision to develop Dubai as a global tourist destination and as the region's main business, trading, retail and tourism hub. Falconcity of Wonders, which is shaped like a falcon symbolizes the UAE's heritage. The original design of the master plan and smart city concept descended from the US-German architect Esat Farman.

In 2015, Falconcity of Wonders project was showcased at Dubai Expo [7] and at Bombay Exhibition Centre. [8] In September 2016, it was exhibited at Cityscape Global [9] where project's stand was visited by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi III (Ajman). [10] It was certified by International Organization for Standardization under ISO 9001. [11]

Projects

Western and Eastern Villa Residences

Western and Eastern Villa Residences are internationally themed and contemporary villas. Both residences feature spacious residential villas that are located in the wings part of the city. The developed detached and semi detached Villas and Townhouses are of different international themes including Andalusia, Aegean, Spanish Santa Fe, New World and contemporary styles. All villas, ranging from 2 to 5 bedrooms.

Community Center: Medical Center, Nursery, Hyper Market, Retail Outlets, Food Court and a Mosque with a large parking space. Community Club: Tennis Courts, Swimming Pool, Kids Playing Area, Library, Ladies’ Salon & Spa, Men’s Spa, External Seating Area, Administration Room, Main Entrance Hall, Mini Mart, Restaurant, Squash Court, GYM, Basket Ball Court, Landscaped Gardens, Car Parking, Guard Room and Space for Pocket Substation.

Dueiffel Tower Dubai

Inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris, FCW is developing 'Dueiffel Tower Dubai' encircled by Falcon Elysees to give a French lifestyle in Dubai. [12]

Pyramid's Park

The Pyramid's Park consists of three pyramids; Dubai Grand Pyramid, Medium Pyramid and Small Pyramid, each of which is named after a star's name combined with the abbreviation SAAM (Salem Ahmed Al Moosa). Dubai Grand Pyramid is named SAAMAntares after one of the most gigantic stars; Antares. The Medium Pyramid to be named after the present North Pole star Polaris to become SAAMPolaris, while the Small Pyramid will be called SAAMVega pointing to the future North Pole star Vega.

The axis rotates every 26,000 years, the North Star changes accordingly, and almost 12,000 years from now it will be Vega; the Future North Pole Star that will be pointed at by FCW Small Pyramid.

Dubai Grand Pyramid SAAMAntares will consist of 35 floors. It will feature modern apartments and offices with the finest finishes. The Medium Pyramid SAAMPolaris is a 20-storey mixed-use development that offers residential, commercial, hospitality and leisure services. It includes hotel apartments of studios, one and two bedroom units. The Small Pyramid SAAMVega will host commercial services. It composes of 9 floors that feature business centers, apartments and offices. [12]

Taj Arabia

Taj Arabia is inspired by the historical Taj Mahal. Featuring more than 300 rooms, Taj Arabia is a luxury 6-star hotel that is designed to be the wedding destination of the world. [12]

Leaning Tower of Dubai

The Leaning Tower of Dubai is inspired from the Italy’s Wonder; the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It features spacious and hotel apartments located at the center of the Town of Venice, where it is surrounded by retail shops and various restaurants. [12]

Town Of Venice

Falconcity’s waterfront which features gondola rides, outdoor restaurants and cafes. Town of Venice includes retail outlets and residences of an Italian theme.

Dubai Great Wall

Higher than a 3-storey building and stretching from one side of Falcon Fun City to the other, Dubai Great Wall will act as a jogging track that is 4.25 times bigger than the Olympic running track. [12]

Falcon Fun City

Falcon Fun City is being developed next to Falconcity Mall, which shapes the head of the Falcon and features retail outlets, international restaurants and entertainment components.

Falconcity Towers

Falconcity Towers are located at the base of Falconcity, in the business district. It consist of 24 towers, having commercial, residential services.

The Pearl-Qatar Place in Ad-Dawhah, Qatar

The Pearl-Qatar in Doha, Qatar, is an artificial island spanning nearly four square kilometers. It is the first land in Qatar to be available for freehold ownership by foreign nationals. As of 2018, there are 27,000 residents.

Palm Jumeirah manmade archipelago in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

The Palm Jumeirah Dubai is a manmade archipelago in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, created using land reclamation which extends into the Persian Gulf. It is part of a larger series of developments called the Palm Islands, including Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira, which, when completed, will together increase Dubai's shoreline by a total of 520 kilometres (320 mi). It has an estimated population of 10,500 as of 2016. It is located on the Jumeirah coastal area of the emirate of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. The construction was done as a joint venture by two Dutch specialist companies, Van Oord and Boskalis. The same companies also created The World. The recently opened destinations The Pointe, Club Vista Mare and Nakheel Mall are the latest additions to The Palm Jumeirah Dubai.

The Dubai government's decision to diversify from a trade-based but oil-reliant economy to one that is service- and tourism-oriented has made real estate and other developments more valuable, resulting in the property boom from 2004 to 2006. Construction on a large scale has turned Dubai into one of the fastest-growing cities in the world. There are a number of large-scale projects which are currently under construction or will be constructed in the future. Due to the heavy construction which is taking place in Dubai, 30,000 construction cranes, which are 25% of cranes worldwide, are operating in Dubai. Due to the burst of construction, Dubai has acquired various building-related records, which include: the world's tallest tower, the world's largest shopping mall, the world's largest fountain and the world's tallest hotel. Also under construction is Dubailand, which will be almost twice the size of the Walt Disney World Resort.

City of Arabia is a US$20 billion retail, residential, commercial and entertainment destination lying at the gateway to Dubailand, United Arab Emirates. Some parts of this project are being built.

Al Fattan Marine Towers

The Al Fattan Marine Towers is a complex in the Dubai Marina section of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The towers are located within Jumeirah Beach Residence, a 40-tower, 7,000 unit residential and hotel development which runs alongside Dubai Marina. The Al Fattan Marine Towers consist of two twin 50-story towers, the Al Fattan Tower, and the Oasis Beach Tower, consisting of serviced and residential apartments which have since been sold to individual investors and homeowners. Both towers stand at a height of 245 m (804 ft) and a roof height of 230 m (755 ft), and are the tallest buildings in Jumeirah Beach Residence. Construction of both towers was completed in 2006. Following completion the developer, Al Fattan Properties LLC built a 12-storey office and retail building on an adjacent plot between the towers and Dubai Marina restricting views of the marina from the towers. In 2012 Al Fattan commenced construction of two high-rise towers on the beach in front of the towers which will largely restrict seaviews from Al Fattan Marine Towers. Al Fattan had earlier demolished a 10-story hotel on the site, the Oasis Hotel, which it had built about a decade earlier. Originally Al Fattan proposed to build a mega 97-tower building on the site to be called Burj Al Fattan, however a subsequent decision was made to split the development into two high-rise towers. The exact number of floors is not known as there has been no public disclosure of the project.

Jumeirah Beach Residence

Jumeirah Beach Residence is a 1.7 kilometres (1.1 mi) long, 2 square kilometres (0.77 sq mi) gross floor area waterfront community located against the Persian Gulf in Dubai Marina in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is a residential development and contains 40 towers. JBR can accommodate about 15,000 people, living in its apartments and hotel rooms. The Project has 6,917 apartments, from 900 sq ft (84 m2) studios to 5,500 sq ft (510 m2) penthouses. JBR has a total of six residential blocks, Shams, Amwaj, Rimal, Bahar, Sadaf and Murjan. JBR is within walking distance to Dubai Marina, Dubai Tram and Dubai Metro.

Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites is a 59-floor 256 metre (840 ft) tall skyscraper completed in 2007. This residential and hotel tower is located in Dubai Marina in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and features 261 suites offering choices of 24 spacious studio rooms, six one-bedroom, 170 two-bedroom and 55 three-bedroom suites, as well as six penthouses. The Hotel is the property of The Emirates Group, which also owns other hotels like Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa.

Al Jaddaf, also spelled Al Jadaf, is a locality in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Located in western Dubai in Bur Dubai, Al Jaddaf is bordered to the north and east by the Dubai Creek, to the south by Zabeel, and to the west by Umm Hurair 2.

Dubai Maritime City

Dubai Maritime City (DMC) is a multipurpose maritime zone. It is a member of the Dubai World group of companies. Maritime city was expected to be fully operational by 2012, but this was postponed, and first phase of the project is expected to be completed by 2021.

Dubai Motor City Community in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Downtown Dubai Community in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Downtown Dubai, previously known as Downtown Burj Dubai, is a large-scale, mixed-use complex which was developed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It covers an area of 2 square kilometres (0.77 sq mi), at an estimated cost of US$20 billion upon completion and as of 2017, had a population of 13,201.

Dubai Meydan City is a new development under construction in the Ras Al Khor area of Dubai, UAE. The project was launched on the eve of the 2007 Dubai World Cup. The entire development will cover more than 40,000,000 square feet (3,700,000 m2) GFA on a land size of around 15,000,000 square feet (1,400,000 m2). Meydan city is expected to be completed in 2020, while Meydan Racecourse officially opened on 27 March 2010. The development includes hotels, sky-bubble restaurant, entertainment, clubs, a concourse plaza, IMAX movie theater, towers and a boat-house.

Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development Company Saudi Arabian property development company

Dar Al Arkan Real Estate (DAAR) is a Saudi Arabian property development company. It is the largest developer by market value in Saudi Arabia.

DAMAC Properties is an Emirati property development company, based in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. In January 2015, DAMAC Properties was publicly listed on the Dubai Financial Market. The company operates internationally providing residential, commercial and leisure properties and has presence in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, and the United Kingdom.

Emaar Development is the UAE-based property development arm of Emaar Properties. The company develops residential and commercial property, shopping malls and other retail assets and as well as hospitality and leisure attractions.

Meraas is a privately held holding company headquartered in Dubai with operations and assets in the United Arab Emirates. As of 2020, Meraas was reportedly due to become a subsidiary of Dubai Holding.
