Indian River County is a county located in the southeastern and east-central portions of the U.S. state of Florida. As of the 2020 census, the population was 159,788. Its seat is Vero Beach. It is Florida's 7th richest county and in 2000 was the 87th richest county in the U.S. by per capita income.
Fellsmere is a city in Indian River County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Sebastian–Vero Beach Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 4,834 at the 2020 census.
Indianola is a historic unincorporated community on Merritt Island in Brevard County, Florida, United States. It is centered on Indianola Drive, which is about half a mile south of where State Road 528, the Bennett Causeway across the Indian River, enters Merritt Island. It extends north of 528 a short distance to include the Indianola Cemetery near the Barge Canal, and east to State Road 3

The Mount Elizabeth Archeological Site, also known as Racey's Tuckahoe, St. Joseph's Novitiate or the Mount Elizabeth Indian Mound is a prehistoric midden and an archaeological site in Jensen Beach, Florida. It is located in Martin County's Indian RiverSide Park, which includes the former Florida Institute of Technology east of Indian River Drive on the Indian River Lagoon. On September 14, 2002, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
The Old Indian River County Courthouse is a historic courthouse in Vero Beach, Florida. Located at 2145 14th Avenue, the Old Indian River County Courthouse was constructed from April 1936 to March 1937 in the Masonry Vernacular, Art Moderne style by architect W.H. Garns. The structure was built by James T. Vocelle after he sought federal funding during 1933 and 1934 from the Public Works Administration to build the newly formed county a courthouse. The structure later became the Courthouse Executive Center after the county courthouse moved its seat to a new building at 2000 16th Avenue. On July 19, 1999, the Old Indian River County Courthouse was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Sebastian Grammar and Junior High School is a historic school in Sebastian, Florida. It is located at 1235 Main Street. On August 17, 2001, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The building is part of the Sebastian City Hall complex and currently houses a museum.
The Vero Beach Diesel Power Plant is a historic power plant in Vero Beach, Florida. Located at 1133 19th Place, the Vero Beach Diesel Power Plant was built in 1926 replacing an earlier power plant due to the areas extensive growth. It was built in the masonry vernacular style by architects Carter and Damerow and by the engineering firm of Kennard and Sons. The structure was the city's first public utilitarian facility. It is also the city's oldest municipal building. On February 26, 1999, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. In June 2016, the Diesel Plant was sold to real estate developer Michael R. Rechter. Following a $6 million renovation, the building and property were adapted and reutilized as American Icon Brewery - a brewpub/production brewery which opened in September 2017.

Blue Cypress Lake, originally called Lake Wilmington, is a lake in Indian River County of the Treasure Coast in Florida. It is the largest lake in the Treasure Coast and Indian River County. It is the headwaters lake of the St. Johns River. The sources of water are several creeks from the south, two from the west, and Moonshine Bay from the North that flow into the lake. All the water flows out of the lake to the northwest into M Canal and Zigzag Canal. The lake is over 6,500 acres (26 km2) in size, 21 mi (34 km) in circumference, and has an average depth of 8 feet (2.4 m). The lake is 2,100 acres (8.5 km2) larger than Lake Washington, 27 mi (43 km) north of this lake. The lake's name comes from the blue appearance of the cypress trees as the morning sun's rays reflect off the water. A fishing camp called Blue Cypress Lakeside Cabins is 4 mi (6.4 km) off State Road 60. The Blue Cypress Village is south of the small boat canal from the fish camp.

Fellsmere Park is a historic park that was designed by the famous landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted for the city. The construction began in 1893 and was finished in 1899. Most of the land for the park was donated by Malden's first mayor Elisha S. Converse. After the fire on his rubber shoe factory in 1875, he purchased the swamp planning to turn it into a water reservoir in case of emergency. Later, following the advice of the noted journalist Sylvester Baxter, he donated the land for establishing a beautiful public park with a pond. In 1905 the city turned the park over to the Metropolitan Parks Commission. The MPC in 1913 designed the boundary roads of the park, which were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in May 2003 as Fellsmere Park Parkways. Fellsway East, which is part of the Fellsway Connector Parkways, runs through Fellsmere Park on the east side of Fellsmere Pond.
