Fenerivia is a genus of flowering plants in the custard apple and soursop family Annonaceae, with all species endemic to Madagascar. [2] Fenerivia inflorescences have a prominent flange below the perianth, which is unique to the genus. [3] The complete chloroplast genome of Fenerivia ghesquiereana was published in 2021. [4]

Annonaceae Family of flowering plants

The Annonaceae are a family of flowering plants consisting of trees, shrubs, or rarely lianas commonly known as the custard apple family or soursop family. With 108 accepted genera and about 2400 known species, it is the largest family in the Magnoliales. Several genera produce edible fruit, most notably Annona, Anonidium, Asimina, Rollinia, and Uvaria. Its type genus is Annona. The family is concentrated in the tropics, with few species found in temperate regions. About 900 species are Neotropical, 450 are Afrotropical, and the remaining are Indomalayan.

Mimulus Genus of flowering plants

Mimulus is a plant genus in the family Phrymaceae, which was traditionally placed in family Scrophulariaceae. The genus now contains only seven species, two native to eastern North America and the other five native to Asia, Australia, Africa, or Madagascar. In the past, about 150 species were placed in this genus, most of which have since been assigned to other genera, the majority to genus Erythranthe.

Isolona is a genus of flowering plants in the family Annonaceae. There are 21 species native to Africa. They occur in humid habitat types.

Polyalthia Genus of flowering plants

Polyalthia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Annonaceae. There are approximately 90 species distributed from Africa to Asia and the Pacific.

Rytigynia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Rubiaceae. It is found in tropical and southern Africa. The genera Rytigynia and Fadogia form a strongly supported clade but neither of these genera is monophyletic.

Xylopia Genus of flowering plants

Xylopia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Annonaceae. They are mostly trees and some shrubs. There are about 160 species distributed in Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

Meiogyne Genus of flowering plants

Meiogyne is a genus of flowering plants with about 28 species belonging to the family Annonaceae. It is native from southwestern India and Indochina to Australia, including Fiji and New Caledonia.

Vanguerieae Tribe of flowering plants

Vanguerieae is a tribe of flowering plants in the family Rubiaceae and contains about 655 species in 30 genera. It is one of the most species-rich groups within the family and it is distributed all over the Paleotropics.

Amphidinium Genus of dinoflagellates

Amphidinium is a genus of dinoflagellates. The type for the genus is Amphidinium operculatum Claparède & Lachmann. The genus includes the species Amphidinium carterae which is used as a model organism.

Artabotrys Genus of flowering plants

Artabotrys is a genus of plants in the Annonaceae family. There are over 100 species in the Old World tropics, with 31 species in Africa. It is part of the custard apple family (Annonaceae). All species are small trees or shrubs with a tendency to climb. Leaves are simple and alternate, without hairs. Bisexual flowers are borne singly or in clusters opposite the leaves. The 6-petalled flowers are scented, and the plant bears fleshy fruits.

Razafimandimbisonia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Rubiaceae. It is endemic to Madagascar.

Pentarhopalopilia is a genus of plants in the family Opiliaceae described as a genus in 1987.

Xerochlamys Genus of flowering plants

Xerochlamys is a genus of trees and shrubs in the family Sarcolaenaceae. The species are all endemic to Madagascar.

Huberantha Genus of plants

Huberantha is a genus of plants in the family Annonaceae and tribe Miliuseae. It is distributed in Australia, tropical Asia, East Africa and some Pacific islands. Tanawat Chaowasku named the genus "Huber's flowers" in honor of the German botanist Herbert Huber and to highlight its flowers as a distinguishing feature of the genus. A number of species have been moved here from the genus Polyalthia.

Wuodendron is a genus of plants in the family Annonaceae and tribe Miliuseae, containing the type and only species Wuodendron praecox. It is distributed from northeastern India north to southern China and southeast through most of Mainland Southeast Asia.

Malmeoideae

The Malmeoideae are a subfamily of trees and other plants of the family Annonaceae.

Fitzalania is a genus of flowering plants in the custard apple and soursop family Annonaceae, with all species endemic to Australia. Molecular studies show it to be a synonym of Meiogyne.

Ambavia is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Annonaceae.
