Figulus punctatus is a species in the stag beetle family Lucanidae. It is found in temperate Asia. [1] [2]
These two subspecies belong to the species Figulus punctatus:
John Van Denburgh was an American herpetologist from California.
Hypostomus punctatus, the suckermouthed catfish, is a tropical fish belonging to the armored suckermouth catfish family, Loricariidae. Hypostomus punctatus is a freshwater fish native to South America, in the coastal drainages of southeastern Brazil and Uruguay. It is one of a number of species commonly referred to as "plecostomus" or "common pleco" by aquarists.
The channel catfish is North America's most numerous catfish species. It is the official fish of Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Tennessee, and is informally referred to as a "channel cat". In the United States, they are the most fished catfish species with around 8 million anglers targeting them per year. They also have very few teeth and swallow food whole. The popularity of channel catfish for food has contributed to the rapid expansion of this species' aquaculture in the United States. Europe, Asia, and South America have also widely introduced it, and many countries legally consider it an invasive species.
Diadophis punctatus, commonly known as the ring-necked snake or ringneck snake, is a rather small, harmless species of colubrid snake found throughout much of the United States, as well as south in Central Mexico and as far north as Quebec, Canada. Ring-necked snakes are generally fossorial and somewhat secretive, by nature, and, as a nocturnal species, are rarely seen during the daytime. These snakes are believed to be fairly abundant throughout most of their range, though no scientific evaluation supports this hypothesis. Scientific research is lacking for the species, despite their apparently common status, and more in-depth investigations are greatly needed. It is the only species within the genus Diadophis and, currently, 14 subspecies are identified, though many herpetologists question the morphologically-based classifications.
The New Zealand fernbird or simply fernbird is an insectivorous bird endemic to New Zealand. In the Māori language, it is named kōtātā or mātātā.
The northern slaty antshrike is a species of bird in subfamily Thamnophilinae of family Thamnophilidae, the "typical antbirds". It is found in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela.
The Lucanidae are a family of beetles that include the stag beetles. The family can be further subdivided in a taxonomy. The classification presented here follows Smith (2006), with the exception of the tribal classification within the Lucaninae.
The spotted sunfish, also known as a stumpknocker, is a member of the freshwater sunfish family Centrarchidae and order perciformes. The redspotted sunfish, redear sunfish and pumpkinseed sunfish are its closest relatives. Lepomis punctatus is olive-green to brown in color with black to reddish spots at the base of each scale that form rows of dots on the side. The scientific name punctatus refers to this spotted pattern. It was first described in 1831 by Valenciennes.
Konosirus punctatus is a species of fish in the family Dorosomatidae. It is the only member of the monotypic genus Konosirus. Its common names include dotted gizzard shad and konoshiro gizzard shad. It is native to the northwestern Pacific Ocean, where it occurs along the Asian coastline.
Rhacognathus punctatus, the Heather Bug, is a species of stink bugs.
Alice Suki Waterhouse is an English singer-songwriter, actress and model. The indie pop artist released her debut studio album I Can't Let Go and debut extended play (EP) Milk Teeth in 2022.
Figulus incertus is a species of stag beetle.
Figulus planifrons is a species in the stag beetle family Lucanidae. It is found on the Indonesian island of Sumatra.
Psolus is a genus of sea cucumbers in the family Psolidae, marine animals with long bodies, leathery skins and tentacles, that inhabit the sea bed.
Figulus is a genus of beetle in the family Lucanidae. They have a paleotropical distribution, including occurrences in Australia.
Figulus hornabrooki is a species of Stag Beetle in the beetle family Lucanidae. It is found in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
Figulus binodulus is a species in the stag beetle family Lucanidae. It is found in temperate Asia.
Figulus lilliputanus is a species in the stag beetle family Lucanidae. It is found in Australia.
Figulus foveicollis is a species in the stag beetle family Lucanidae. It is found in New Caledonia, New Guinea, and Tahiti.
