Frederick Jack Klaassen (born 13 November 1992) is an English-born Dutch international cricketer who plays for Kent County Cricket Club. [2] He made his List A debut for the Netherlands against Zimbabwe on 24 June 2017, [3] having played club cricket in England and New Zealand. [4]
Klaassen was born in Haywards Heath in West Sussex. He grew up in Hamilton,New Zealand and in Australia [5] and was educated at Sacred Heart College,Auckland. [6] He qualified to play for the Netherlands through a Dutch grandfather. [5]
In June 2018,he was named in the Netherlands' Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for the 2018 Netherlands Tri-Nation Series. [7] He made his T20I debut for the Netherlands against Ireland on 12 June 2018. [8]
In July 2018,he was named in the Netherlands' One Day International (ODI) squad,for their series against Nepal. [9] He made his ODI debut for the Netherlands against Nepal on 1 August 2018,taking 3/30 on debut. [10] In December he was named in the squad for the 2018–19 Oman Quadrangular Series,playing in all three of the Netherlands' matches during the tournament. [11]
On 1 October 2018 Klaassen signed a two-year contract with English county side Kent County Cricket Club. [1] He had played for the county Second XI in friendly matches during the previous English season and against Kent in warm up matches ahead of the 2018 t20 Blast competition. [1] [12] He made his first-class debut on 31 March 2019 for Kent against Loughborough MCCU,as part of the Marylebone Cricket Club University fixtures. [13]
In Dutch domestic cricket Klaassen has played for VOC Rotterdam,winning the Topklasse,the Dutch domestic title,with the club in 2018. [14] He was the leading bowler in the competition during the 2018 season,taking 29 wickets at an average of 14.10 runs per wicket. [1] In 2015 he played in New Zealand for Cornwall Cricket Club and in Scotland for East Kilbride Cricket Club and later played for Norwich Cricket Club in the East Anglian Premier Cricket League [5] [12] Klaassen made 22 appearances,mainly in limited-overs matches,for Kent during th 2019 season and signed a contract extension with the club in January 2020,keeping him at Kent until 2022. [15] In the 2018/19 northern hemisphere winter he played in Australia for Monash Tigers in Victorian Premier Cricket. [16]
Klaassen played in the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament in the United Arab Emirates [17] and in September 2021,was named in the Dutch squad for the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. [18]
In April 2022,he was bought by the Manchester Originals for the 2022 season of The Hundred. [19]
Pieter Marinus Seelaar is a Dutch cricketer and a former captain of the national team. He is a right-handed batsman and a left-arm orthodox spin bowler. Having played for the Netherlands at the Under-15,Under-17 and Under-19 levels,he made his senior debut in a C&G Trophy game against Warwickshire on 3 May 2005. He then played in the ICC Trophy later that year. He made his One Day International debut against Sri Lanka on 6 July 2006. Two years later,Seelaar made his Twenty20 International debut.

The 2019–20 Oman Pentangular Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament,that was held in Oman in October 2019. Originally scheduled to be played between four teams,it was increased to five. The 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier B was a cricket tournament that was played in July 2022 in Zimbabwe,as one of two global tournaments that together formed the final stage of the qualification process for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. In April 2018,the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full international status to Twenty20 men's matches played between member sides from 1 January 2019 onwards. Therefore,all the matches in the Global Qualifiers were played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Global Qualifier B was contested by eight teams that advanced from their Regional Finals,were eliminated in the first round of the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup,or were one of the highest ranked sides not already qualified to this stage. The eight teams were placed in two groups,with two sides from each group advancing to the semi-finals. The two teams that reached the final of the Global Qualifier advanced to the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup in Australia.
