Future Politics is the third studio album by Canadian electronic music band Austra, released on January 20, 2017, by Domino worldwide and by Pink Fizz Records in Canada. [13] The album was inspired by frontwoman Katie Stelmanis' time living in Montreal and Mexico City, [14] while also drawing inspiration from Massive Attack, Latin-American record producers (including Chancha Vía Circuito), E. E. Cummings, accelerationism, and Judith Butler. [15] The cover art was photographed at Mexican architect Luis Barragán's Cuadra San Cristóbal in Mexico City. [16]

Austra is a Canadian electronic music band from Toronto, Ontario, founded in 2009 by composer, singer-songwriter, and producer Katie Stelmanis. Stelmanis is the only permanent member of the project, with a rotating live band that has included Maya Postepski (drums), Dorian Wolf, and Ryan Wonsiak (keyboards). It previously also featured the twin backing singers Sari and Romy Lightman of Tasseomancy. The band has released four studio albums—Feel It Break (2011), Olympia (2013), Future Politics (2017), and Hirudin (2020).

Elwan is the seventh album by the Tuareg band Tinariwen, released in 2017. The title means "elephants" in Tamashek and the term is used as a metaphor for militias and corporations that have trampled the fragile natural and human ecosystems of the desert. The album was partially recorded in Joshua Tree National Park with additional recording in Paris, France and M'hamed El Ghizlane, Morocco. The album includes guest appearances by Matt Sweeney, Kurt Vile, Mark Lanegan, and Alain Johannes. One reviewer called the album "devastatingly beautiful," and another described the album as "musing on the values of ancestry, unity and fellowship, driven by the infectiously hypnotic cyclical guitar grooves that wind like creepers around their poetic imagery." AllMusic named Elwan as one of the best albums of 2017.

Tim is the third and final studio album by Swedish DJ and producer Tim Bergling, known by the stage name Avicii, released on 6 June 2019. It is his only album release following his death by suicide a year earlier. It includes the single "SOS", which was released on 10 April 2019. It is his third and final studio album, serving as the follow-up to his 2015 album Stories. All profits from sales of the album go towards the Tim Bergling Foundation, set up following Avicii's suicide, for mental health awareness.
