Gaobu is a town located within the Shuixiang Area,which is the fifth largest of six 'areas' under the jurisdiction of Dongguan prefecture-level city in the Pearl River Delta region of Guangdong province,China.
Gao Bu Town is located south of the Tropic of Cancer,latitude 23 °05'-23 °08 ',longitude 113 °45',and enjoys a subtropical climate,mild climate,evergreen flora and an annual average temperature of around 21.9 ℃.[ citation needed ]
The town is approximately 7.5 km in width from North to South and 4.5 km wide,with a total area of 34 square kilometers. Gaobu runs along the Dongjiang River tributary and has an elevation of between 1m and 4m. It is often subject to floods and water-logging.
In 2009,the official residential population was 162,000,distributed into 37,600 households. Under the jurisdiction of a community,Gaobu has 18 village committees.
Gaobu is located North of the 'city' area of Dongguan,connected with convenient transportation. The town forms part of the "four vertical and four horizontal" modern transportation network,connecting the Dongguan-Shenzhen Expressway,Guangzhou-Huizhou Expressway,High-speed and Wando East Guangyuan Road. The result is a connection with Guangzhou,Shenzhen,Huizhou and surrounding Towns,creating the vision of a "one hour economic circle." Dongguan city can be reached in around 20 minutes drive from Gaobu. To get to the Guangzhou Baiyun Airport is about 60 minutes drive,and to Shenzhen's Airport is about 40 minutes drive. To reach Humen Port will need around 30 minutes' drive. The Kowloon-Canton railway (KCR) Station in Shilong is 20 minutes away and the Dongguan East railway station is about 40 minutes by car.

Under the township motto "united,energized,pragmatic,dedicated and daring",the Gaobu community has developed an international,export-oriented economy. The town plays host to businesses from Taiwan,Hong Kong,Japan,Germany,Canada,Italy,Belgium,France,South Korea to name a few. The total number is around 200 foreign-invested enterprises,investing a total foreign investment amount of no less than $320 million.
Industries here include electronics,plastics,toys,hardware,shoes,bags and other fashion accessories.
Gaobu is home to some very successful international companies,including Yue Yuen Group,Lee &Man Holding Company,key telecommunications companies,high-tech electronics factories,Bai Hong electronics factory,Jianhong glasses factory,Cosmosupplylab,(one of the top 200 suppliers to Apple Inc. [1] [2] ) and eyewear manufacturer and retailer Luxottica .
Hong Kong has a highly developed and sophisticated transport network,encompassing both public and private transport. Based on Hong Kong Government's Travel Characteristics Survey,over 90% of the daily journeys are on public transport,the highest rate in the world. However,in 2014 the Transport Advisory Committee,which advises the Government on transportation issues,issued a report on the much worsened congestion problem in Hong Kong and pointed at the excessive growth of private cars during the past 10–15 years.

Zhuhai,also known as Chuhai is a prefecture-level city located on the west bank of Pearl River estuary on the central coast of southern Guangdong province,People's Republic of China,on the southeastern edge of Pearl River Delta. Its name literally means "pearl sea",which originates from the city's location at the mouth of the Pearl River meeting the South China Sea. Zhuhai borders Jiangmen to the west,Zhongshan to the north and Macau to the southeast,and shares maritime boundaries with Shenzhen and Hong Kong to the northeast across the estuary.

The Pearl River Delta Economic Zone,is a special economic zone on the southeastern coast of China. Located in the Pearl River Delta,it consists of the Chinese cities of Guangzhou,Shenzhen,Zhuhai,Foshan,Dongguan,Zhongshan,Jiangmen,and parts of Huizhou and Zhaoqing. Adjacent Hong Kong and Macau are not part of the economic zone.

The Pearl River Delta Metropolitan Region Intercity Railway System is a regional higher-speed rail and suburban rail network being gradually constructed in the Pearl River Delta,People's Republic of China. The project's goal is to have every major urban center in the Yuegang'ao Greater Bay Area to be within one-hour travel by rail to Guangzhou. On March 16,2005,the State Council approved plans for a regional high-speed commuter rail network for the Jingjinji,Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta. According to the plan,by 2020,the network will have a total route mileage of about 600 kilometres (370 mi). In September 2009,the plan was expanded to 1,478 km (918 mi) of routes split up into 23 lines. In the long term vision network length will reach 1,890 km (1,170 mi) by 2030. By then the network will provide basic coverage to the Pearl River Delta region. The Suishen ICR,Guanhui ICR and Guangfozhao ICR accept Alipay,avoiding the need to purchase tickets in advance.
Dongguan–Huizhou intercity railway,also known as the Guanhui intercity railway or Guanhui City Railway,is a regional railway within Guangdong province,China. It runs between the cities of Dongguan and Huizhou in the Pearl River Delta (PRD). Part of a larger radiating intercity rail transit network,called Pearl River Delta Metropolitan Region intercity railway,across the PRD region,directly connecting with the Guangzhou–Shenzhen intercity railway and the planned Foshan–Dongguan intercity railway. Route length is 103.1 kilometers,with an estimated construction budget of 25.3 billion RMB. The construction period is planned to take three and a half years. 3 renovated and 14 new stations are being built along the route. It has been built with a design speed of 200 kilometres per hour. The Xiaojinkou–Changping East section started operations on 30 March 2016.

The Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area also referred to as the Greater Bay Area (GBA),is a megalopolis,consisting of nine cities and two special administrative regions in South China. It is envisioned as an integrated economic area aimed at taking a leading role globally by 2035.
