George Thengummoottil (born 10 January 1985) is an Indian filmmaker and editor. [1] [2] [3] [4] He has also DIT for the 2022 Academy award winning documentary The Elephant Whisperers. [5] [6] His films have been nominated for several film festivals like International Documentary and short-film festival of Kerala and CMS Vatavaran film festival. [7]
George was born in the town of Palakkad, Kerala on 10 January 1985.[ citation needed ] George Thengummoottil did his primary school education at Marthoma Senior Secondary School. He did his graduation in Computer Science at Marian College Kuttikkanam, Peermade. During when he wrote his first book The Story of Peermade, a book about the history of Peermade. [8] He obtained Masters in Computer Science from Dr G R Damodaran College of Science, Coimbatore and later another Masters in Communication and Journalism from PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. He has also completed short course on Application of Sound in Film and Television from Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute. [9]
During his teenage, he was affected by Keratoconus, a degenerative disorder of the eye and was blind by the age of 13. He had to stop his studies and activities. Later he did Corneal transplantation and could partially recover vision in one of his eyes. [10]
George was campus placed in Machine Vision and Robotics at Lucid Imaging, Bangalore [11] after his post graduation. Even though the company offered cover of his treatments he could not continue for a long time due to Keratoconus.[ citation needed ] George was invited to work as a lecturer at Sherubtse College in Bhutan, where he served for several Years. [12] Later he worked as a journalist with Times of India, Coimbatore and later worked with filmmaker Sandesh Kadur at Felis Creations before starting as an independent wildlife filmmaker.
After his Masters in Journalism, he started making short edits, while working at Felis Creations and started as a documentary editor. In 2022, he founded Moundain Private Limited, which specializes on production and post-production of documentaries.
George was also motivational speaker and has been involved in many technical and art projects. [13] He was instrumental to popularize the use of solar panels for filming in remote places. [14]
George is the founder of Keratoconus Foundation India, [15] a charitable trust registered under Indian Trusts Act, 1882 which guides Keratoconus patients in India to lead a better life and support them economically. [16]

Amoghavarsha JS is an Indian filmmaker and wildlife photographer. In 2021, Amoghavarsha won the 67th National Film Awards for his film "Wild Karnataka" as the Best Exploration/Adventure Film, It is narrated by Sir David Attenborough and also won the Best Narration/Voice Over award. He is the art director on Grammy® Award Album "Divine Tides" by Ricky Kej at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards and 65th Annual Grammy Awards. His video work on climate change was showcased in the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President François Hollande. He addressed the United Nations headquarters in 2020 when his movie Wild Karnataka was screened there. His film Kali has won the Impactdocs Award of Merit and the Australia India Youth Dialogue alumni grant for the year 2015
Naresh Bedi is an Indian filmmaker, the eldest of the Bedi Brothers and a member of the second generation of three generations of Wildlife photographers and filmmakers. He is the first Asian to receive a Wildscreen Panda Award and the first Indian to receive a wildlife film nomination for the British Academy Film Awards. He was honoured by the Government of India in 2015 with Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award.

Felis Creations is also involved in wildlife documentation and conservation activities in collaboration with Wildlife Conservation Organizations. Felis creations was the producer for recent TV series Planet Earth II broadcast by the BBC.
The Unbearable Being of Lightness is a 45-minute documentary film made in 2016 and directed by Ramchandra PN. The documentary documents a workshop that the filmmaker had conducted for a group of students at the University of Hyderabad, immediately after the student protests on the issue of the suicide of Rohith Vemula had ended at the university.

Karna Kadur is an Indian National Rally Champion. He began with road racing and also achieved immense success in Indian rallying with seven National rally titles in different classes. He won two Overall National Rally Championship victories 2016 and 2022 with Arka Motorsports. He is with Arka Motorsports and drives in MRF Tyres colours under the mentorship of N Leelakrishnan, his engineer and tuner. He is also the first driver to get a National Championship title for Volkswagen Polo along with co-driver Nikhil Pai.

Her photographs have been published internationally in various scientific journals and magazines like National Geographic Magazine.
