German Comic Con (or German Film & Comic Con) is a fan convention organised by Cool Conventions and Showmasters Events first held at the Westfalenhallen in Dortmund in December 2015. It was the first event of its kind, modeled after the San Diego and New York Comic Cons, and has since taken place in Dortmund, Munich, Berlin, and Frankfurt. [1]
German Comic Con has been affiliated with Comic Con Ahoy in Rotterdam, Filmbörse, German Castle Con, and Weekend of Hell. [2] The Rudolph Dirks Award is presented at German Comic Con. [3] [4]

The Love Parade was an electronic dance music festival and technoparade that originated in 1989 in West Berlin, Germany. It was held annually in Berlin from 1989 to 2003 and in 2006, then from 2007 to 2010 in the Ruhr region. Events scheduled for 2004 and 2005 in Berlin and for 2009 in Bochum were canceled.
The Ruhr, also referred to as the Ruhr area, sometimes Ruhr district, Ruhr region, or Ruhr valley, is a polycentric urban area in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The New York Comic Con is a for-profit event produced and managed by ReedPop, a division of RX and Reed Elsevier, and is not affiliated with the long running non-profit San Diego Comic-Con, nor the Big Apple Convention, later known as the Big Apple Comic-Con, owned by Wizard Entertainment.

It is situated in the Ruhr area, the fourth largest urban area in Europe. The university pioneered the Internet in Germany, and contributed to machine learning.
Stadion Rote Erde is a 25,000 capacity football and athletics stadium in Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia. It serves as the home stadium to Borussia Dortmund II and several athletic clubs. The stadium was built in between 1924 and 1926 at a cost of 1.8 million German Mark. The stadium was inaugurated in 1926, with a match between the City of Dortmund and FC Wacker München (1–11).

The Sauerland Net is a group of railway services in the western Sauerland and the eastern Ruhr of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia and consists of four Regionalbahn services, RB 43 (Dortmund–Dorsten), RB 52 (Dortmund–Hagen–Lüdenscheid), RB 53 (Dortmund–Schwerte–Iserlohn) and RB 54 (Unna–Fröndenberg–Menden–Neuenrade), and the Regional-Express service RE 57. The RB 43 also carries the brand name of the Emschertal-Bahn, the RB 52 is called the Volmetal-Bahn, the RB 53 is called the Ardey-Bahn, the RB 54 is called the Hönnetal-Bahn and the RE 57 is called the Dortmund Sauerland-Express. In December 2004, DB Regio NRW took over or retained operations of these services. Previously the RB 53, RB 54 and RE 57 had been operated by DB Regio NRW and RB 52 had been operated by the Dortmund-Märkische Eisenbahn (DME).
CCXP is a multi-genre entertainment and comic convention that has been variously held in Brazil, Germany and Mexico. The largest pop-culture festival in the world, it is designed along the same lines as San Diego Comic-Con; its attractions and events focus on comics, television series, movies, video games, literature, and the internet.
A comic book convention or comic con is a fan convention emphasizing comic books and comic book culture, in which comic book fans gather to meet creators, experts, and each other. Commonly, comic conventions are multi-day events hosted at convention centers, hotels, or college campuses. They feature a wide variety of activities and panels, with a larger number of attendees participating with cosplay than for most other types of fan conventions. Comic book conventions are also used as a method by which publishers, distributors, and retailers represent their comic-related releases. Comic book conventions may be considered derivatives of science-fiction conventions, which began during the late 1930s.
Tim Dieck is a German competitive ice dancer. With his former skating partner Katharina Müller, he is a two-time German national champion and has won many senior international medals, including two silver medals on the ISU Challenger Series and three gold medals at the German NRW Trophy. They have represented Germany at the European and World championships. In December 2022, it was announced that Dieck had teamed up with British-Spanish ice dancer Olivia Smart.
Eric Dirk Oelschlägel is a German professional footballer who most recently played as a goalkeeper for Eerste Divisie club Emmen. He started his career with Werder Bremen, where he spent four seasons with the club's reserves. After two years with Borussia Dortmund he joined FC Utrecht in 2020. He joined Emmen in July 2022.
Ullrich Sierau is a German politician from the Social Democratic Party of Germany and, since 15 June 2014, for the third time, has been the lord mayor of Dortmund. After retaining this position already from 21 October 2009 to 18 January 2010, he was re-elected in an election on May 9, 2010 repeat election of the mayor elections in 2009 for mayor of Dortmund. His term would last until 2016. In the local elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2014, Sierau approached again, reaching a vote share of 43.7%. When carried out in the June 15, 2014 runoff he, then reached 51.6% of the vote, his opposition candidate Annette Littmann from the Christian Democratic Union of Germany, who received 32.0% in the first ballot, subjected to 48.4%.
The Große Kirche Aplerbeck is a Protestant church in Aplerbeck, now part of Dortmund, Germany. It was built from 1867 to 1869 in Gothic Revival style, designed by Christian Heyden. A listed monument, it is used by the parish St. Georg, serving mostly as a concert church.
