Geography

Gho Manhasan is located at 32°34′N74°57′E / 32.56°N 74.95°E / 32.56; 74.95 . [3] It has an average elevation of 311 metres (1,020 feet).

Demographics

As of 2011 India census, [4] Gho Manhasan had a population of 3944. Males constitute 53.5% of the population and females 46.5%. Gho Manhasan has an average literacy rate of 69%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 63%. The local language primarily spoken in Gho Manhasan and nearby areas is Dogri.

According to the 2011 census, 91.4% of the residents were Hindus, 7.9% were Sikhs and 0.6% were Christians. [5]

Pampore, known as Pampar or Panpar in Kashmiri, is a historical town situated on the eastern side of the Jhelum River on the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway. It was known as Padmapura in antiquity. It is famous worldwide for its saffron and known as the Saffron town of Kashmir. Pampore is one of the few places in the world where saffron, the world's most expensive spice, grows. Khanqah-e-Aaliya (Khanqah-e-Masoodiya) Pampore is built by Hazrat Baba Muhammad Sadiq popularly known as Saeed Bab Sahib who was great-grandson of Hazrat Khawaja Masood Wali Pampori Sahib (R.A).

Khour Deonia is a town, near the city of Jammu in Jammu district in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.The town is named after a Rajput Clan Deonia who are settled here for many decades.

Kangan is a town located near Ganderbal, in the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is one of the tehsils in District Ganderbal. It is situated across the Nallah Sindh and spread over a 50-km-long gorge valley, with population of 120,934 and literacy rate of 52.8% and sex ratio 868 per thousand males.
