William Ezra Jenner was an American lawyer and politician from the state of Indiana. A Republican, Jenner was an Indiana state senator from 1934 to 1942, and a U.S. Senator from 1944 to 1945 and again from 1947 to 1959. In the Senate, Jenner was a supporter of McCarthyism.

The play centers on James "Sharky" Harkin, an alcoholic who has recently returned to live with his blind, aging brother, Richard Harkin. As Sharky attempts to stay off the bottle during the holidays, he contends with the hard-drinking, irascible Richard and his own haunted conscience. It was nominated for multiple Tony Awards as well as the Olivier Award and Evening Standard Award for Best Play.

The song was originally recorded during sessions for Collins' second album, Hello, I Must Be Going!, in 1982, although It appeared as the B-side to "Sussudio" in the U.K., and as the B-side to "One More Night" in the United States. The song was re-written for an episode of Miami Vice in which Collins guest-starred called "Phil The Shill." The song was renamed "(Life is a) Rat Race.". Collins has said he has "no emotional attachment" to the song. The song was not released as a single. However, it charted at #38 on the Mainstream Rock Chart.

Originally identified as MNT-0365, it was cloned from an old elm surviving in Hennepin County, Minnesota. 'Miller Park' is currently (2016) being researched but no data have yet been published. The tree is named for the eponymous park in Eden Prairie, in the environs of Minneapolis.
