Greed is a game show that originally aired in the United States on Fox. Its success in the U.S. led to it becoming a worldwide franchise as the show was adapted and recreated in several other countries.

Furthermore, these had different music (the British version added extra sound effects in its title sequence), composed by British composer Graham Ness, and graphics set around a safe and a tower of gold bars, however, the gameplay was largely the same as the original U.S. version, aside mainly from the Australian version, which had a progressive jackpot. The standard international set was designed by British production designer Andy Walmsley. [1]

All the international versions were produced by Pearson Television (now Fremantle). [2] [3]

This genre, a type of Polish urban folk music, had great popularity in the 1990s, peaking in 1995–1997, then gradually declining in popularity through the early 21st century. The genre then had a resurgence in the winter of 2007. The Polish PWN dictionary defines the genre as a Polish variant of disco music, with simple melodies and often ribald lyrics. The service Rate Your Music defines disco polo as a Polish variant of dance-pop.

<i>Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?</i> (British game show) British television quiz show

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? is a British television quiz show, created by David Briggs, Steven Knight and Mike Whitehill for the ITV network. The programme's format has contestants taking on multiple-choice questions based upon general knowledge, winning a cash prize for each question they answer correctly, with the amount offered increasing as they take on more difficult questions. If an incorrect answer is given, the contestant will leave with whatever cash prize is guaranteed by the last safety net they have passed, unless they opt to walk away before answering the next question with the money they had managed to reach. To assist in the quiz, contestants are given a series of "lifelines" to help answer questions.

Spain participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with the song "Un Blodymary" written by Manuel Ruiz Gómez "Queco". The song was performed by the group Las Ketchup, which was internally selected by Spanish broadcaster Televisión Española (TVE) to represent the nation at the 2006 contest in Athens, Greece. Las Ketchup and "Un Blodymary" were presented to the public as the Spanish entry on 27 February 2006 during the evening magazine programme España Directo.

<i>Chi vuol essere milionario?</i> Italian TV series or program

Chi vuol essere milionario?, originally titled Chi vuol essere miliardario?, is an Italian game show based on the original British format of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. The show is hosted by Gerry Scotti and broadcast on the Italian TV station Canale 5.

Television in Poland was introduced on an experimental basis in 1937. It was state owned, and was interrupted by the Second World War in 1939. Television returned to Poland in 1952 and for several decades was controlled by the communist government. Colour television was introduced in Poland in 1971. Private television stations in Poland appeared around the time of the fall of communism, with PTV Echo becoming the first private station in Poland.

Spain participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 with the song "Dile que la quiero" written by Alejandro Abad. The song was performed by David Civera. Songwriter Alejandro Abad represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 1994 with the song "Ella no es ella" placing eighteenth in the competition. The Spanish broadcaster Televisión Española (TVE) organised the national final Eurocanción 2001 in order to select the Spanish entry for the 2001 contest in Copenhagen, Denmark. Twenty artists and songs competed in the televised show where an in-studio jury and a public televote selected "Dile que la quiero" performed by David Civera as the winner.

The song was performed by Serafín Zubiri who represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 1992 with the song "Todo esto es la música" which placed fourteenth in the competition. The Spanish broadcaster Televisión Española (TVE) organised the national final Eurocanción 2000 in order to select the Spanish entry for the 2000 contest in Stockholm, Sweden. Fifteen artists and songs competed in the televised show where 17 regional juries and a public televote selected "Colgado de un sueño" performed by Serafín Zubiri as the winner.

Polsat Comedy Central Extra is a Polish channel focusing on comedy owned by Paramount Networks EMEAA. It was launched on 29 April 2010 as a programming block on VH1 Poland. On 14 January 2011, VH1 Poland was rebranded as Comedy Central Family.

The fourth series of Mam talent! began airing on TVN on 3 September 2011 and ended on 26 November 2011. The winner of the show was Kacper Sikora, who received PLN 300,000. Małgorzata Foremniak and Agnieszka Chylińska returned as judges. They were joined by a new judge, Robert Kozyra. He replaced Kuba Wojewódzki, who had left the show in order to focus on judging X Factor. Marcin Prokop and Szymon Hołownia returned as hosts.

Fabio Fazio is an Italian television presenter. After debuting in 1982, he presented many TV programs, including Quelli che... il Calcio, Vieni via con me and Quello che (non) ho. Since 2003, he presents the weekly talk show Che tempo che fa, which airs on Nove since October 2023 and was formerly broadcast by Rai 3. He presented the Sanremo Music Festival in 1999, 2000, 2013 and 2014.

The sixth series of Mam talent! began airing on TVN on 7 September 2013 and ended on 30 November 2013. Marcin Prokop and Szymon Hołownia returned to present the show. Agnieszka Chylińska and Małgorzata Foremniak returned as judges and were joined by Agustin Egurrola. The series was won by Ukrainian sand artist Tetiana Galitsyna, who received PLN 300,000. The runner-up, folk music band Tekla Klebetnica received the second prize, a car funded by sponsor of the series. Dancer Santiago Gil came third.

Carlo Vittori was an Italian sprinter and athletics coach. He competed in the men's 100 metres at the 1952 Summer Olympics. He was portrayed by Luca Barbareschi in the Italian RAI TV film Pietro Mennea - La freccia del Sud (2015).
