Oklahoma City, officially the City of Oklahoma City, and often shortened to OKC, is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Oklahoma. The county seat of Oklahoma County, it ranks 20th among United States cities in population, and is the 8th largest city in the Southern United States. The population grew following the 2010 census and reached 681,054 in the 2020 census. The Oklahoma City metropolitan area had a population of 1,396,445, and the Oklahoma City–Shawnee Combined Statistical Area had a population of 1,469,124, making it Oklahoma's largest municipality and metropolitan area by population.
The Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics (OSSM) is a two-year, public residential high school located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Established by the Oklahoma state legislature in 1983, the school was designed to educate academically gifted high school juniors and seniors in advanced mathematics and science. OSSM opened doors to its inaugural class in 1990. It is a member of the National Consortium of Secondary STEM Schools (NCSSS).
Classen School of Advanced Studies, often referred to as Classen SAS, CSAS or simply Classen, is a public speciality school serving students in grades 9–12 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Oklahoma City Public Schools program participates in the IB Diploma Programme and offers fine arts courses as well, offering art, drama, and music classes to any qualifying student.

Kirk Humphreys is an American politician who served as Mayor of Oklahoma City from April 9, 1998, to November 3, 2004. He was considered a favorite candidate of the Republican party establishment for U.S. Senator in 2004, losing to former Congressman Tom Coburn, MD in the primary. Humphreys was appointed to The Oklahoma City Public Schools Board as Chairman, but was later unseated by former state Sen. Angela Monson.
Summit Preparatory Charter High School also known as Summit Prep, is a college preparatory and charter high school that was founded in 2003. Summit Prep is the first school founded by the charter management organization (CMO) Summit Public Schools, which has eight schools in the San Francisco Bay Area and three in Washington state. It is part of the Sequoia Union High School District.

North Star Academy Charter School of Newark is a charter school located in Newark, in Essex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, that educates students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. One of the initial group of 17 charter schools approved in January 1997, with plans to begin with classes for fifth and sixth grades, the school was recognized by the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program in 2010.
Oklahoma Centennial Middle/High School was a grade 7–12 public education school in the Oklahoma City Public Schools district. In 2008, the school occupied its permanent building, located at 1301 NE 101st Street in Oklahoma City. On January 22, 2019, Oklahoma City Public Schools Superintendent Sean McDaniel announced that Centennial would be closed as a part of his "Path to Greatness" plan. The building where it was located is now occupied by Harding Charter Preparatory High School.
John Marshall High School is a public high school in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The original location of John Marshall High School opened in 1950 at 9017 N University Ave., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The new location of the school opened in 2005 at 12201 North Portland Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Taft Stadium is a WPA-built stadium in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It is the current home to teams from Northwest Classen High School, John Marshall High School, Classen School of Advanced Studies, Oklahoma Centennial High School, as well as the former home of professional soccer team Oklahoma City Energy FC. Built in 1934, the stadium closed in 2013 and reopened in 2015 following substantial renovation. As part of the renovation, the seating capacity was reduced from approximately 18,000 to approximately 7,500, with the red-stone facade being the only feature left unaltered. A new all-weather track replaced a dirt track which was installed in 1946.
Del City High School is the only public high school located in Del City, Oklahoma, U.S., and one of three high schools in the Mid-Del School District. The school opened in 1953. According to GreatSchools.org, the high school is rated above Midwest City High School and below Carl Albert High School, the other two high schools in the district. The school serves approximately 1,254 students. About a third of graduating students attend a four-year college.
