Harish Sivaramakrishnan is an Indian playback singer who works in Malayalam and Tamil cinema. He is also the lead vocalist of the Bangalore-based popular Carnatic progressive rock band Agam. [1] [2]

Personal life

Harish was born and brought up at Shoranur in Palakkad, Kerala. [3] He is a chemical engineering graduate from BITS Pilani. [4]

Career

Harish Sivaramakrishnan is the lead vocalist and one of the founder members of the band Agam. [5] He is also a playback singer working in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil languages. Apart from his musical career, he is also working as the Chief Design Officer at CRED, after working for over a decade in Adobe and Google. [6]

In 2016, composer Leon James introduced Harish to singing in Tamil cinema, and Harish sang "Unnai Matrinaal" for the former's film Ko 2 .

In 2021, he won the South Indian International Movie Award for Best Playback Singer (Male) (Tamil) for his song "Veyyon Silli" in the film Soorarai Pottru (2020).

Soorarai Pottru is the soundtrack album, composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, to the 2020 Indian Tamil-language drama film of the same name, directed by Sudha Kongara, starring Suriya and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles, along with Aparna Balamurali, Urvashi, and Mohan Babu in other prominent roles. The soundtrack album consists of 9 songs all of them were penned by lyricists Snehan, Yugabharathi, Vivek, Arunraja Kamaraj, Ekadesi, Maya Mahalingam and Arivu. The soundtrack album was released digitally on 24 July 2020, through the Sony Music India record label.

"Veyyon Silli" is the 2020 Tamil-language song featured in the soundtrack of the Tamil film Soorarai Pottru. Directed by Sudha Kongara, and produced by Suriya under his 2D Entertainment banner, starring himself in the lead role. The song is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, and sung by Harish Sivaramakrishnan and written by Vivek. It is a fusion of melody, folk and progressive rock, and was picturised on Suriya and Aparna Balamurali. The track was launched on 13 February 2020 at a special Boeing 737 aircraft flying on mid-air, the first time in Tamil cinema to do so.

"Kaattu Payale" is the 2020 Tamil song featured in the soundtrack of the Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, directed by Sudha Kongara. Composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, written by Snehan and sung by Dhee, the track is a melody number pictured on Suriya and Aparna Balamurali. The track was released as a single on 23 July 2020, on the occasion of Suriya's birthday. As of 25 January 2022, the lyrical version of the track crossed 100 million views.

Sai Vignesh is an Indian Vocalist, Playback Singer, and Musician. His main training in music is in Carnatic, but he has also sung in other genres. He has released many tracks for solo projects, toured internationally, has performed with music legends like Ilaiyaraaja, SP Balasubramanyam, Shankar Mahadevan, and has been a successful playback singer for Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. Sai Vignesh got noticed as a contestant in Airtel Super Singer 4. He made his debut in playback singing in 2018 with Eghantham, but solidified his place in the industry as a playback singer in 2022 with hits like Kurumugil from Sita Ramam and the blockbuster song Varaha Roopam from Kantara.
