Mustafa Bülent Ecevit was a Turkish politician,statesman,poet,writer,scholar,and journalist of Kurdish origin. He served as the Prime Minister of Turkey four times between 1974 and 2002. He served as prime minister in 1974,1977,1978–1979,and 1999–2002. Ecevit was chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP) between 1972 and 1980,and in 1987 he became chairman of the Democratic Left Party (DSP).
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey,usually referred to simply as the TBMM or Parliament,is the unicameral Turkish legislature. It is the sole body given the legislative prerogatives by the Turkish Constitution. It was founded in Ankara on 23 April 1920 amid the National Campaign. This constitution had founded its pre-government known as 1st Executive Ministers of Turkey in May 1920. There are four Deputy Speakers,selected according to the parliamentary composition of the incumbent Parliament.
