Heliobolus neumanni, also known commonly as Neumann's sand lizard, is a species of lizard in the family Lacertidae. The species is endemic to East Africa.
H. neumanni is found in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania. [1] [2]
The specific name, neumanni, is in honor of German ornithologist Oscar Neumann. [3]
The preferred natural habitat of H. neumanni is savanna, at altitudes from sea level to 1,500 m (4,900 ft). [1]
