Heliotropium aegyptiacum is a species of flowering plant in the family Boraginaceae, native to Egypt, northwest tropical Africa, Socotra, Kenya, and the Arabian Peninsula. [1] It is favored by desert locusts ( Schistocerca gregaria ), but is toxic to livestock. [2]
