Hillside Acres first appeared as a census designated place in the 2010 U.S. Census, [16] one of seven CDPs (Colorado Acres, Hillside Acres, Las Haciendas, Las Pilas, Los Veteranos I, Pueblo East, and Valle Verde) were formed out the Ranchitos Las Lomas CDP. [17]
