Las Pilas is a census-designated place (CDP) in Webb County, Texas, United States. This was a new CDP formed from parts of the Ranchitos Las Lomas CDP prior to the 2010 census, with a population of 28. [2]

Las Pilas first appeared as a census-designated place in the 2010 U.S. Census, [15] one of seven CDPs (Colorado Acres, Hillside Acres, Las Haciendas, Las Pilas, Los Veteranos I, Pueblo East, and Valle Verde) were formed out the Ranchitos Las Lomas CDP. [16]

Residents are in the United Independent School District. [19] Zoned schools include: Dr. Henry Cuellar Elementary School, [20] Antonio Gonzalez Middle School, [21] and United South High School. [22]

The designated community college for Webb County is Laredo Community College. [23]
