Location

Holmview railway station is a park and ride suburban railway station in Queensland, Australia on the Beenleigh line. ^[1] Despite the name, it is one of two stations serving the Logan City suburb of Beenleigh, the other being Beenleigh station.

History

Holmview station opened in 1885 as Holme View. ^[2] It was named Holme View because it had a view of the Loganholme area. ^[3] The station was renamed Holmview shortly afterwards. In March 1987, the station was relocated to its current location. It served as the terminus of the Beenleigh line for the next year until the new Beenleigh station opened in March 1988. On 21 April 1992, a second platform opened as part of the duplication of the line. ^[4]
