Pier Andrea Saccardo was an Italian botanist and mycologist. He was also the author of a color classification system that he called Chromotaxia. He was elected to the Linnean Society in 1916 as a foreign member. His multi-volume Sylloge Fungorum was one of the first attempts to produce a comprehensive treatise on the fungi which made use of the spore-bearing structures for classification.

Roussoëlla is a genus of fungi in the family Roussoellaceae. The genus is characterized by two-celled ascospores, unitunicate asci with a small spherical apical ring that stains slightly blue with Melzer's reagent, and stromata with several perithecia. The genus was circumscribed by Italian mycologist Pier Andrea Saccardo in 1888, with Roussoella nitidula assigned as the type species. The generic name honours Marietta Hannon Rousseau, (1850–1926), who was a Belgian mycologist and taxonomist.
Massarina is a genus of fungi in the Massarinaceae family. Anamorph forms of species in Massarina include Acrocalymma, Ceratophoma, and Tetraploa. Massarina was circumscribed by Pier Andrea Saccardo in 1883. The widespread genus contains about 100 species.
Venturiocistella is a genus of fungi within the Hyphodiscaceae family. The genus contained seven species. Then 8 species in 2022.
Oudemansiella is a genus of fungi in the family Physalacriaceae. The genus contains about 15 species that are widely distributed in tropical and temperate regions. Yang and colleagues revised the genus in a 2009 publication, describing several new species and several varieties. They classified species in the genus into four sections based on the structure of the cap cuticle: Oudemansiella, Mucidula, Dactylosporina, and Radicatae.
Delpontia is a genus of fungi within the family Stictidaceae. It is a monotypic genus, containing the single species Delpontia pulchella.
