Hong Kong participated at the 2018 Asian Para Games which was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 6 to 13 October 2018.
The Hong Kong delegation was composed of 101 athletes who participated in 10 out of 18 sports in the games which were Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Boccia, Bowling, Lawn bowls, Table tennis, Shooting, Swimming, and Wheelchair fencing, with Ng Chak Lin served as the head of the delegation. [3]

The Asian Para Games also known as Para Asiad is a multi-sport event regulated by the Asian Paralympic Committee that's held every four years after every Asian Games for athletes with physical disabilities. Both events had adopted the strategy used by the Olympic and Paralympic Games of having both games in the same city. However, the exclusion of Asian Para Games from Asian Games host city contract meant that both events run independently of each other. The Games are recognized by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and are described as the second largest multi-sport event after the Paralympic Games.
The 2014 Asian Para Games, also known as the 2nd Asian Para Games, was an Asian disabled multi-sport event held in Incheon, South Korea, from 18 to 24 October 2014, 2 weeks after the end of the 2014 Asian Games. This was the first time South Korea hosted the games. Around 4,500 athletes from 41 countries competed in the games which featured 443 events in 23 sports. The games was opened by the Prime Minister Chung Hong-won at the Incheon Munhak Stadium. The final medal tally was led by China, followed by host South Korea and Japan, while Kazakhstan, Myanmar, Singapore, Syria and Qatar won their first ever Asian Para Games gold medal. 24 world and 121 Asian records were broken during the Games.
The 2009 Asian Youth Para Games, officially known as the 1st Asian Youth Para Games, was an Asian youth disabled multi-sport event held in Tokyo, Japan from 10 to 13 September 2009. Around 466 athletes from 29 participating nations participated at the games which featured 6 sports consisted of 5 main sports and 1 demonstration sport.
Macau sent a delegation to participate in the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, United Kingdom, from 29 August to 9 September 2012. This was the seventh appearance at a Summer Paralympic Games for the territory since its debut at the 1988 Summer Paralympics. A high jumper and a wheelchair fencer were chosen to represent Macau in London after the nation qualified one athlete by merit and the other by invitation. Wheelchair fencer In I Lao was nominated to be the territory's flag bearer for the opening ceremony. At the Paralympics, Lao came ninth in the group rounds of both the women's individual foil A and the women's individual épée A tournaments while high jumper Hio Sam Tong also finished in ninth in the men's long jump F20 event.
The 2018 Asian Para Games, officially known as the 3rd Asian Para Games and also known as Indonesia 2018, was a pan-Asian multi-sport event that held from 6 to 13 October 2018 in Indonesia's capital city of Jakarta. The event paralleled the 2018 Asian Games and was held for Asian athletes with disability.
The 2013 Asian Youth Para Games, officially known as the 2nd Asian Youth Para Games, was an Asian youth disabled multi-sport event held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 26 to 30 October 2013. Around 1200 athletes from 29 participating nations participated at the games which featured 14 sports.
South Korea and North Korea competed in some events at the 2018 Asian Para Games as a unified team, under the title "Korea" (COR). The two Koreas competed under one team in three events; one in swimming and two in table tennis. This marked the first time the two countries compete in para-sport event.
Vietnam participated at the 2018 Asian Para Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 6 to 13 October 2018.
Chinese Taipei participated at the 2018 Asian Para Games which was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 6 to 13 October 2018. 89 athletes competed for Chinese Taipei in eleven sports namely: athletics, swimming, powerlifting, shooting, archery, table tennis, judo, wheelchair tennis, badminton, wheelchair basketball and bowling.
Malaysia participated at the 2018 Asian Para Games which was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 6 to 13 October 2018.
Bhutan made their Asian Para Games debut in the 2018 edition of the games which was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 6 to 13 October 2018.
Kazakhstan participated at the 2018 Asian Para Games which was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 6 to 13 October 2018. The Kazakhstani delegation was composed of 90 athletes who competed in nine sports, namely: table tennis, para judo, para swimming, shooting para sports, para powerlifting, archery, chess, para athletics and sitting volleyball.
The 2018 Asian Para Games opening ceremony was held on Saturday, 6 October 2018 at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia. The closing ceremony was held exactly a week later; Saturday, 13 October 2018 at the nearby, far smaller Gelora Bung Karno Madya Stadium. Both ceremonies were started on 19:00 local time (UTC+7) and ended around 22:00.
Sri Lanka took part in the 2018 Asian Para Games which was held in Jakarta from 6 to 13 October 2018, sent a delegation consisting of 30 para-athletes in 9 different sporting events. The 2016 Rio Paralympic medalist Dinesh Priyantha Herath was the skipper and the flagbearer for the contingent. Sri Lanka secured 5 medals on the opening day of the Asian Para Games.
Singapore participated at the 2018 Asian Para Games which was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 6 to 13 October 2018.
Oman participated at the 2018 Asian Para Games which was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 6 to 13 October 2018. Mansoor al Touqi, president of the Oman Paralympic Committee, was the chef-de-mission of the delegation. All its 9 athletes which consists of 5 men and 4 women participated in athletics. The team also consists of coaches, a physical therapist, and officials.
Kuwait participated at the 2018 Asian Para Games which was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 6 to 13 October 2018. The Kuwaiti delegation was composed of 23 athletes who competed in four sports, namely: table tennis, fencing, shooting para sports, and para athletics. Secretary of Kuwait Disabled Club Saad Al-Azmaa was the head of the delegation.
Saudi Arabia participated at the 2018 Asian Para Games which was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 6 to 13 October 2018. Saudi Arabian delegation was composed of 27 athletes who competed in 3 sports, namely athletics, powerlifting and wheelchair basketball. All its medals were won in the sport of athletics.
North Korea participated at the 2018 Asian Para Games which was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 6 to 13 October 2018. The delegation consisted of seven athletes who participated in table tennis, swimming and para athletics.
Mongolia participated at the 2018 Asian Para Games which was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 6 to 13 October 2018. The Mongolian delegation was composed of 40 athletes who participate in 9 sports.
