[1] It is an official journal of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology. [2] It was established in 1986 with Robert Edwards as founding editor-in-chief. [3]
The journals Human Reproduction Update and Molecular Human Reproduction are spin-offs from Human Reproduction that were established in 1995. [2] The main journal concentrates on original research, clinical case studies, as well as opinions and debates on topical issues. [2] Human Reproduction Update is a bimonthly review journal. [4] According to the Journal Citation Reports its 2019 impact factor is 12.684, ranking it first in the categories "Obstetrics and Gynaecology" (out of 79) and "Reproductive Biology" (out of 30).
Molecular Human Reproduction focuses on molecular aspects of reproductive biology and is published monthly. [2] According to the Journal Citation Reports its 2019 impact factor is 3.636, ranking it 10th out of 41 in the category "Developmental Biology" and 6th out of 29 in the category "Reproductive Biology".
All three journals are abstracted and indexed in Biological Abstracts, BIOSIS Previews, Current Contents, EMBASE/Excerpta Medica, PubMed/MEDLINE, ProQuest, and the Science Citation Index.
The European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) was founded in 1985 by Robert Edwards and J. Cohen (Paris), who felt that the study and research in the field of reproduction needed to be encouraged and recognized. It is currently headquartered in Belgium.
The American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) is a nonprofit, multidisciplinary organization for advancement of the science and practice of reproductive medicine. The society has its headquarters in Washington, D.C and its administrative office in Birmingham, Alabama.
The European Journal of Human Genetics is a monthly peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Nature Publishing Group on behalf of the European Society of Human Genetics. It covers all aspects of human genetics.
Nature Medicine is a monthly peer-reviewed medical journal published by Nature Portfolio covering all aspects of medicine. It was established in 1995. The journal seeks to publish research papers that "demonstrate novel insight into disease processes, with direct evidence of the physiological relevance of the results". As with other Nature journals, there is no external editorial board, with editorial decisions being made by an in-house team, although peer review by external expert referees forms a part of the review process. The editor-in-chief is João Monteiro.
Reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) is a surgical subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology that trains physicians in reproductive medicine addressing hormonal functioning as it pertains to reproduction as well as the issue of infertility. While most REI specialists primarily focus on the treatment of infertility, reproductive endocrinologists are trained to also test and treat hormonal dysfunctions in females and males outside infertility. Reproductive endocrinologists have specialty training (residency) in obstetrics and gynecology (ob-gyn) before they undergo sub-specialty training (fellowship) in REI.
Reproduction is a monthly peer-reviewed medical journal covering the cellular and molecular biology of reproduction, including the development of gametes and early embryos in all species; developmental processes such as cell differentiation, morphogenesis and related regulatory mechanisms in normal and disease models, assisted reproductive technologies in model systems and in a clinical environment, and reproductive endocrinology, immunology and physiology. Emerging topics including cloning, the biology of embryonic stem cells, environmental effects on reproductive potential and health, and epigenetic effects on reproductive and developmental processes are also covered. All editorial and review content is free to access from publication; research articles become available after 12 months.
Reproduction, Fertility and Development is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal published by CSIRO Publishing. The journal publishes original and significant contributions on vertebrate reproductive and developmental biology. Subject areas include, but are not limited to: physiology, biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, endocrinology, genetics and epigenetics, behaviour, immunology and the development of reproductive technologies in humans, livestock and wildlife, and in pest management.
Journal of Biological Inorganic Chemistry is a peer-reviewed scientific journal. It is an official publication of the Society of Biological Inorganic Chemistry and published by Springer Science+Business Media.
Hans Robert Schöler is a molecular biologist and stem cell researcher. He is director at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine in Münster.
Clinical Cancer Research is a peer-reviewed medical journal on oncology, including the cellular and molecular characterization, prevention, diagnosis, and therapy of human cancer, medical and hematological oncology, radiation therapy, pediatric oncology, pathology, surgical oncology, and clinical genetics. The applications of the disciplines of pharmacology, immunology, cell biology, and molecular genetics to intervention in human cancer are also included. One of the main interests of Clinical Cancer Research is on clinical trials that evaluate new treatments together with research on pharmacology and molecular alterations or biomarkers that predict response or resistance to treatment. Another priority for Clinical Cancer Research is laboratory and animal studies of new drugs as well as molecule-targeted agents with the potential to lead to clinical trials, and studies of targetable mechanisms of oncogenesis, progression of the malignant phenotype, and metastatic disease. The journal is published by the American Association for Cancer Research.
The Journal of Cellular Physiology is a peer-reviewed scientific journal focusing on all aspects of cellular physiology. The journal was previously established as Journal of Cellular and Comparative Physiology in 1932, but was renamed to its present title in 1966. The editor-in-chief is Gregg B. Fields.
Biology of Reproduction is a peer-reviewed scientific journal and the official journal of the Society for the Study of Reproduction. It is published with the assistance of Oxford University Press.
