Humpin' Around the World Tour was the third concert tour by American recording artist, Bobby Brown. The tour was to promote his third album Bobby . The outing started in Charleston, West Virginia on December 29, visiting several cities in North America and overseas in Australia, Europe and Asia.
Following the success of his "Don't Be Cruel" tour which ended three years ago, Brown is back with a new album Bobby and will embark on a nationwide tour. The outing, set to kick off on December 29, in Charleston, West Virginia, the first of 50 dates that Brown will do before taking the month of March off. Bobby's nationwide tour will feature three major hot new artists; Mary J. Blige, TLC, and Shabba Ranks.
To introduce the tour he stated: "I'm ready for it, I'm back into the swing of it," says the king of New Jack Swing, calling from rehearsals in Atlanta. "I've been working out, working with my dancers, working with the band, so I'm ready to do it. And people are going to see the same Bobby Brown they've always seen -- the energetic crazy man on stage. Anybody who's been to my concerts knows how I perform and those who don't will just have to come and see, and have some fun. It's going to be a great new year." [1]

Robert Barisford Brown Sr. is an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. Brown, alongside frequent collaborator Teddy Riley, is noted as one of the pioneers of new jack swing: a fusion of hip hop and R&B. Brown started his career in the R&B and pop group New Edition, from its inception in 1978 until his exit from the group in December 1985.

Bobby is the third studio album by American singer Bobby Brown, released in 1992 by MCA Records. The album continued the R&B/new jack swing sound of its predecessor, Don't Be Cruel. Babyface, L.A. Reid, and Daryl Simmons returned as producers and songwriters, however, Brown also worked with other producers, most notably Teddy Riley, who was considered a pioneer of the new jack swing genre. Riley also co-wrote and produced the majority of the album. Brown had more creative input and control of the album, becoming an executive producer and co-writing seven of the album's thirteen songs. The album received mixed reviews from music critics.
