The tenth season of Indonesian Idol premiered on RCTI on October 7, 2019, after a year hiatus and ended on March 2, 2020, coinciding with the early rise of COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. [1] The main audition process was held in five major cities in Indonesia: Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Medan and Jakarta. [2] This season marks as the first season to have an all-female Top 3 in Indonesian Idol history, [3] and the second season to have an all-female finale since season 7. The winner of the season was 16-year-old Lyodra Ginting, who became the fourth female Indonesian Idol winner in a row since season 7. [4]

Terms contestants: Contestants must be 16–27 years old and lived in Indonesia

Elimination round

The first day of the elimination round featured the 113 contestants from the auditions round singing solo a cappella. 51 contestants advanced. The next round required the contestants to split up into 10 groups and perform the same song. 31 of them advanced to the finals of the elimination round requiring a solo performance with a full band. 23 of them made it to the Top 23 show where the judges take contestants one by one and tell them if they made the final 23.

Showcase Round

The top 22 Show was divided into two nights and aired live on 4 and 5 November 2019 at 9:00 p.m. The contestants performed songs of their choice (there was no particular theme) with thirteen contestants performed on the first night, and the other performed on the second night along with the result. Ten contestants with most vote advanced automatically to the Spectacular Show, and then each judges would pick one contestant left to compete along the Top 10. There were 22 semi-finalists, thirteen females and nine males.

Indonesian Idol is a reality television singing competition created by Simon Fuller and produced by RCTI Production Team and FremantleMedia Asia, which began airing on RCTI in March 2004 and became one of the most popular shows in the history of Indonesian television. Part of the Idol franchise, it was as a spin-off from the UK show Pop Idol.

<i>American Idol</i> (season 4) Season of television series

The fourth season of American Idol premiered on January 18, 2005, and continued until May 25, 2005. It was hosted by Ryan Seacrest. Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell also returned as judges. Carrie Underwood won the season with approximately 500 million votes cast in the season and 37 million for the finale, while Bo Bice was the runner-up. Underwood has since gone on to become an eight-time Grammy-winning country megastar. It was also the first season of the series to be aired in high definition.

The 4th season of Indonesian Idol premiered on RCTI on March 30, 2007 and concluded on July 28, 2007. Daniel Mananta and Ata continued to host the show. On the workshop round plus the first two spectacular show, Daniel hosted the show alone due to Ata's pregnancy. Ata started joining Daniel back hosting the show on the third spectacular show. Additionally, Nirina Zubir and Indra Bekti were also announced as the hosts of Idol Banget, a behind-the-scenes show of Indonesian Idol.

The seventh season of Indonesian Idol premiered on RCTI on February 17, 2012. The show aired every Friday at 8:00 pm and Re-run aired every Sunday at 1:00 pm. Daniel Mananta returned as the host, while Anang Hermansyah and Agnes Monica returned as the judges, and musician and hits-maker Ahmad Dhani replaced Erwin Gutawa as the third judges. Fabian Dharmawan became the new Executive Producer. Vokal Plus founder & CEO Indra Aziz, and Irvan Nat, both of them are professional vocal couches, became the new in-house mentors to work with the contestants on a weekly basis. Universal Music Indonesia replaced Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia as Idol's official partner record label. Cross Mobile, Coolant, Honda and Mie Sedaap, were the official sponsors of the show. This season followed the same format as American Idol season 11 and used the new title screen & logo with a different font started from Spectacular round.

The eighth season of Indonesian Idol, also known as Indonesian Idol 2014: A Decade of Dreams, premiered on RCTI on December 27, 2013. Anang Hermansyah and Ahmad Dhani returned as the judges. Agnes Monica was replaced by Tantri of Kotak, and Titi DJ, who returned to the show for her sixth season after her absence in season 6 and 7. Raisa and Indra Lesmana replace Titi and Anang during the Yogyakarta auditions. Later during the Spectacular weeks, Raisa replaced Titi during the Top 9 performances and Tantri during the Top 5. Indra replaced Tantri during the Top 8 performances. Daniel Mananta returns as the host.

<i>X Factor Indonesia</i> Indonesian singing competition

The X Factor Indonesia is an Indonesian reality television music competition to find new singing talent, contested by aspiring singers drawn from public audition. The show was adopted from British The X Factor and produced by FremantleMedia and Cowell's production company Syco. It is broadcast on RCTI. In 2014, X Factor Indonesia won the Panasonic Gobel Awards for the category Talent and Best Reality Show.

Rising Star Indonesia is a reality singing competition of Israeli origin that began airing on RCTI on 28 August 2014. This program is based on the Israeli singing competition, HaKokhav HaBa and produced by Israel-based, Keshet Media, Rising Star. The program's format lets viewers vote for contestants via mobile apps.

<i>The Voice of Nepal</i> Nepalese reality television series

The Voice of Nepal is the Nepalese format of the international TV singing reality series called The Voice. The show usually have four different coaches (judges), which eventually form a four different team after the selection event called the Blind Audition. Each team has to go through the battle round where contestants are paired with one another within the same team and only half of the total selected contestants from the blind audition are selected for the knockout round. During the knockout round, based on The Voice format, only the best and strongest contestants who their respective coach consider the best overall are selected by their coaches. They also have the sole right to do this on his or her own and take them to the live round. During the live round event, through a series of voting episodes, only one contestant with the most popular vote will advance to the grand finale. The first season of the voice of Nepal was won by CD Vijaya Adhikari from Team Deep, season 2 was won by Ram Limbu from Team Pramod and season 3 was won by Kiran Gajmer from Team Pramod. The Grand Finale of season 1 was held on 14 December 2018 in Quatar stadium, the second season's Grand finale was held at Taragaon Open Field Chuchchepati Kathmandu on 7 December 2019 and the third season's Grand Finale was held in The Voice Studio, Dhumbarahi. GeTai Challenge 2015(Chinese: 歌台星力量; pinyin: Gē Tái Xīng Lìliàng) is the first season of Singaporean singing reality competition GeTai Challenge that premiered on 25 May 2015 and run for 13 weeks, with the finals taped at Resorts World Sentosa on 13 August 2015 and ended on 17 August 2015. The competition features Getai singers from all across Singapore competing out for the title of GeTai Challenge winner. The show was hosted by Pornsak and Wang Weiliang, and guest host Shane Pow on two performance shows at Yishun.

The fifteenth season of South African Idols premiered on 7 July 2019, 17:30 SAST and concluded on 17 November 2019 on the Mzansi Magic TV. The season was won by Luyolo Yiba and the runner-up was Sneziey Msomi.

Tiara Anugrah Eka Setyo Andini, known professionally as Tiara Andini, is an Indonesian singer and actress. She was the runner-up of the tenth season of Indonesian Idol which was broadcast by RCTI in 2019–2020. In Idol, she was known as the girl who received a titanium ticket from one of the judges. She is the only titanium ticket recipient to ever make it through to the final round in the history of Indonesian Idol. She was awarded the "Best Newcomer" from 23rd Anugerah Musik Indonesia Awards, and "Best New Asian Artist Indonesia" from 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards.

Lyodra Margareta Ginting is an Indonesian singer from Medan, North Sumatera. She was the winner of the A3 category at the 2017 Sanremo Junior children's international solo singing competition in Sanremo, Italy, and the winner of the tenth season of Indonesian Idol. In both competitions, Lyodra practiced the use of the whistle register, which is the highest range of the human voice—higher than falsetto. She was listed as the youngest Indonesian Idol champion, at the age of 16 years and 255 days. She was awarded "Best Children Female Solo Artist" from 20th Anugerah Musik Indonesia Awards, and "Best New Asian Artist in Indonesia" from 2021 Mnet Asian Music Award. The fourth season of the Indonesian reality talent show The Voice Kids Indonesia premiered on February 4, on GTV with Marcell Siahaan returning for his second time as coach, while Yura Yunita & Rizky Febian and Isyana Sarasvati replacing Agnez Mo and Kaka Satriaji. This season initially will be aired at 2020, but delayed in 2021 because of COVID-19 pandemic.

<i>Rising Star Indonesia Dangdut</i> (season 1) Season of television series

The first season of Rising Star Indonesia Dangdut aired weekly on MNCTV starting 19 April 2021. The panel of judges consisted of Ayu Ting Ting, Ivan Gunawan, Iyeth Bustami, Pasha Ungu, Danang Pradana Dieva, Anji, Nella Kharisma, Denny Caknan, and Judika. Indra Herlambang and Astrid Tiar were appointed as hosts. The show was produced by MNCTV in-house production. The season was won by Rezki Ramdani who received 85 percent votes in the final round.

<i>Indian Idol</i> (Hindi TV series) Indian singing reality show

Indian Idol is an Indian singing reality show of Sony TV. It is an Indian version of the British show Pop Idol and is part of Indian Idol series. It has aired on Sony Entertainment Television since 2004. Originally produced by Miditech Studios and its iconic producer-brothers, Niret Alva, Nikhil J Alva and Nivedith Alva, the series was an instant success when it launched.
