Proliga is the Indonesian professional top level competition for volleyball clubs. It is organised by Persatuan Bola Voli Seluruh Indonesia (PBVSI) or Indonesian Volleyball Association. There are both men's Proliga and women's Proliga competitions. Both were founded in 2002.
Andakara Prastawa Dhyaksa is an Indonesian professional basketball player who currently plays for the Pelita Jaya Bakrie of the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL). He is generally regarded as one of the best players of Indonesia at his position. Prastawa was given the nickname Wonderkid.
Surabaya BIN Samator is a men's volleyball team based in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. The team is owned by Samator Indo Gas and affiliated with Indonesian State Intelligence Agency since 2022. The team plays in Indonesian men's Proliga. They had represented Indonesia in AVC Club Championships in 2009, 2012, and 2016.
Muhammad Rian Ardianto is an Indonesian badminton player. Born in Bantul, Yogyakarta SR, Ardianto plays for the Jaya Raya Jakarta club at national events. He won the men's doubles silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games, the bronze medals at the 2017 SEA Games, and at the 2019 and 2022 World Championships. Ardianto was part of Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup. He reached a career high of world number 1 in the men's doubles with Fajar Alfian on 27 December 2022.
Fajar Alfian is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with the SGS PLN Bandung. He won the men's doubles silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games, the bronze medals at the 2017 SEA Games, 2019 and 2022 World Championships. He was part of the Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup. He reached a career high of world number 1 in the men's doubles with Muhammad Rian Ardianto on 27 December 2022.
Jakarta Elektrik PLN is an Indonesian professional women's volleyball club based in Jakarta and owned and managed by the PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara. The club was founded in 2004 and is currently a participant in the women's Proliga. This club has won the title six times in the Proliga, being the most among other women's volleyball clubs in the Proliga.
Apriyani Rahayu is an Indonesian badminton player specializing in doubles. She and Greysia Polii won the gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics champions in the women's doubles. She won gold at the 2019 SEA Games, and two bronze medals at the World Championships in 2018 and 2019. Rahayu also won bronze medals at the 2018 Asian Games in the women's team and doubles with her former partner Polii.

The Piala Presiden is an annual pre-season association football tournament held in Indonesia and organized by the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI). Liga 1 clubs are entitled to participate. The inaugural tournament was held in 2015 to fill the vacuum of the Indonesia Super League when Indonesia was suspended by FIFA for government interference. The most recent tournament was held in 2024.

Ade Candra Rachmawan is an Indonesian beach volleyball player from Yogyakarta. Rachmawan who won the silver medal at the 2011 SEA Games with partner Dian Putra Sentosa. In a team with Koko Prasetyo Darkuncoro, they won the silver medal at the 2013 Islamic Solidarity Games. He and Darkuncoro also competed in the 2014 Asian Games. They finished in the fourth position after they lost to a Chinese pair in the bronze medal match. Rachmawan and Darkuncoro then claimed the gold medal at the 2014 Asian Beach Games in Phuket, Thailand.
The 2019 season is Persija's 86th competitive season. They have not been relegated since the competition started in 1933. This season is Persija's 25th consecutive seasons in top-flight since professional competition formed on 1994. Along with Liga 1, the club will compete in 2018-19 Piala Indonesia, 2019–20 Piala Indonesia and 2019 AFC Champions League since 2001–02 season. He was a World Junior Champions in the mixed doubles in 2018 and in the boys' doubles in 2019, also won double gold at the 2019 Asian Junior Championships in the boys' and mixed doubles events. Carnando was part of Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup.
Daniel Marthin is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Djarum club since 2015. He was a champion at the 2019 Asian and World Junior Championships in the boys' doubles event. Marthin was part of Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup.
The 2022 Indonesian men's Proliga is the 20th volleyball tournament year and the 18th top level women's volleyball season of the men's Proliga. It is held from January 7 - March 27, 2022. This season's Proliga will be held with implementing strict health protocols and no attendance, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia.
