Islands is the second album by English new wave band Kajagoogoo,released on 21 May 1984 on the EMI label.
This was the band's first album without lead vocalist Limahl,who had been fired by the band in mid-1983 and went on to pursue a solo career. Bassist Nick Beggs,already the group's main background singer,took over lead vocal duties,and also wrote the lyrics. The album was co-produced by the band themselves,now a four-piece group,along with Colin Thurston,who had also produced their debut, White Feathers . It is the final album to date to feature founding drummer Jez Strode.
The album did not sell as well as its predecessor,peaking at No. 35 in the UK Albums Chart. The album's first single,"Big Apple",reached No. 8 in the UK,but subsequent singles were less successful,with "The Lion's Mouth" peaking at No. 25 and "Turn Your Back on Me" reaching No. 47.
In the U.S.,the band had renamed themselves Kaja and Islands was reconfigured and released as a mini-LP titled Extra Play. It contained only seven tracks (five from the album and two bonus remixes) and peaked at No. 185 on the Billboard 200. On the U.S. edition,the version of "Turn Your Back on Me" was different from the original UK version,having been remixed by Steve Thompson and Michael Barbiero. This remix was released as a single in the U.S. and reached No. 2 on the dance charts.
In 2004,the original UK album was remastered and reissued on CD with seven bonus tracks.

Kajagoogoo were a British new wave band, best known for their 1983 hit single "Too Shy", which reached No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart, and the top 10 in numerous other countries.
Broadcast is the debut studio album by English rock band Cutting Crew. Live the Life is an album by Michael W. Smith. One notable song on this album was "In My Arms Again," which Michael W. Smith wrote for the film Titanic. There were 26 songs written and completed for the album, whose release date was pushed back twice as Smith wasn't fully satisfied with the track list. Along with the 12 songs which eventually made it on the album, the tracks "Greater Than We Understand" and "Evening Show" were released on the B-sides of the CD singles for "Live the Life" and "Love Me Good" respectively. The remaining 12 songs appeared in some form on Smith's 1999 album This Is Your Time.

The album contains their most successful single, "Too Shy", a UK No. 1 hit in February 1983, as well as two other UK Top 20 hits: "Ooh to Be Ah" and "Hang on Now". It is the band's only album with Limahl as the lead vocalist.
Crazy Peoples Right to Speak is the third album by English new wave band Kajagoogoo, released in 1985 by Parlophone. The album was not a commercial success and failed to make the UK Top 100. The only single from the album, "Shouldn't Do That", reached No. 63 in the UK.
Soul Alone is the third studio album by American singer and musician Daryl Hall, released in 1993 on Epic Records. Distinct from the sound of his successful duo Hall & Oates, this album features a more soulful and jazzy feel, with production by Hall with Peter Lord Moreland and V. Jeffrey Smith from R&B group The Family Stand, and Michael Peden. However, Epic failed to find a marketing niche for Hall's new sound, and the album was not a commercial success. Soul Alone features singer Mariah Carey, Alan Gorrie from the Average White Band, and producer/multi-instrumentalist Walter Afanasieff as composers. Four singles were released from the album: "I'm in a Philly Mood," "Stop Loving Me, Stop Loving You," "Help Me Find a Way to Your Heart" and "Wildfire." The Japanese version of the album came with an extra 12th track, "I've Finally Seen the Light."

Carasmatic is Irene Cara's third and final studio album released in 1987. It was her only album for Elektra Records. The album was mostly produced by George Duke. Many popular musicians also contributed to this album such as Luther Vandross, Lynn Davis, James Ingram, Patrice Rushen, Bonnie Raitt, Carole King, John Farrar and Michael Bolton. The album, however, sold poorly and failed to make an impression on the charts.
"Never Ending Story" is the title song from the English version of the 1984 film The NeverEnding Story. It was produced and composed by Italian musician Giorgio Moroder and performed by English pop singer Limahl. He released two versions of the song, one in English and one in French. The English version featured vocals by Beth Andersen, and the French version, titled L'Histoire Sans Fin, featured vocals by Ann Calvert. It was a success in many countries, reaching No. 1 in both Norway and Sweden, No. 2 in Austria, West Germany and Italy, No. 4 in the UK, No. 6 in Australia and No. 6 on the US Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.

As I Am is the seventh and, to date, final studio album by American Christian singer-songwriter Kim Boyce. Boyce duets with her husband Gary Koreiba on the track "Amazing Love for Me". Production duties were done by Bryan Lenox while James Hollihan, Jr. produced the track "The Sound of Your Voice".
