Islands is the second album by the English new wave band Kajagoogoo,released on 21 May 1984 by EMI.
This was the band's first album without lead vocalist Limahl,who had been fired by the band in mid-1983 and went on to pursue a solo career. Bassist Nick Beggs,already the group's main backing vocalist,took over lead vocal duties,and also wrote the lyrics. The album was co-produced by the band themselves,now a four-piece group,along with Colin Thurston,who had also produced their debut studio album, White Feathers (1983). It is the final album to date to feature founding drummer Jez Strode.
The album did not sell as well as its predecessor,peaking at No. 35 in the UK Albums Chart. The album's first single,"Big Apple",reached No. 8 in the UK,but subsequent singles were less successful,with "The Lion's Mouth" peaking at No. 25 and "Turn Your Back on Me" reaching No. 47.
In the US,the band had renamed themselves Kaja and Islands was reconfigured and released as a mini-LP titled Extra Play. It contained only seven tracks (five from the album and two bonus remixes) and peaked at No. 185 on the Billboard 200. On the US edition,the version of "Turn Your Back on Me" was different from the original UK version,having been remixed by Steve Thompson and Michael Barbiero. This remix was released as a single in the US and reached No. 2 on the dance charts.
In 2004,the original UK album was remastered and reissued on CD with seven bonus tracks.

Kajagoogoo were an English pop band. They are best known for their 1983 hit single "Too Shy", which reached No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart, and the top 10 in numerous other countries.
Broadcast is the debut studio album by English rock band Cutting Crew. It was first released in the United Kingdom on 22 November 1986, and was later released more widely, including in the United States, Canada and Japan on 21 March 1987 with different packaging and four remixed tracks, all of which were released as singles. Live the Life is an album by Michael W. Smith. One notable song on this album was "In My Arms Again," which Michael W. Smith wrote for the film Titanic. There were 26 songs written and completed for the album, whose release date was pushed back twice as Smith wasn't fully satisfied with the track list. Along with the 12 songs which eventually made it on the album, the tracks "Greater Than We Understand" and "Evening Show" were released on the B-sides of the CD singles for "Live the Life" and "Love Me Good" respectively. The remaining 12 songs appeared in some form on Smith's 1999 album This Is Your Time.
White Feathers is the debut studio album by the English new wave band Kajagoogoo, released on 18 April 1983 by EMI Records. The album contains their most successful single, "Too Shy", a UK No. 1 hit in February 1983, as well as two other UK Top 20 hits: "Ooh to Be Ah" and "Hang on Now". It is the band's only album with Limahl as the lead vocalist.
Crazy Peoples Right to Speak is the third album by English new wave band Kajagoogoo, released in 1985 by Parlophone. The album was not a commercial success and failed to make the UK Top 100. The only single from the album, "Shouldn't Do That", reached No. 63 in the UK.
Soul Alone is the third studio album by American singer and musician Daryl Hall, released in 1993 on Epic Records. Distinct from the sound of his successful duo Hall & Oates, this album features a more soulful and jazzy feel, with production by Hall with Peter Lord Moreland and V. Jeffrey Smith from R&B group The Family Stand, and Michael Peden. Soul Alone features singer Mariah Carey, Alan Gorrie from the Average White Band, and producer/multi-instrumentalist Walter Afanasieff as composers. Four singles were released from the album: "I'm in a Philly Mood," "Stop Loving Me, Stop Loving You," "Help Me Find a Way to Your Heart" and "Wildfire." The Japanese version of the album came with an extra 12th track, "I've Finally Seen the Light."

"Never Ending Story" is the title song from the English version of the 1984 film The NeverEnding Story. It was produced and composed by Italian musician Giorgio Moroder and performed by English pop singer Limahl. He released two versions of the song, one in English and one in French. The English version featured vocals by Beth Andersen, and the French version, titled L'Histoire Sans Fin, featured vocals by Ann Calvert. It was a success in many countries, reaching No. 1 in both Norway and Sweden, No. 2 in Austria, West Germany and Italy, No. 4 in the UK, No. 6 in Australia and No. 6 on the US Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.

War Machine is a 1980 studio album by Andrea True. It was her first and only solo LP, after two albums under the Andrea True Connection moniker released in the 1970s. War Machine was a departure from True's previous disco output, exploring new wave and rock music. The album is "dedicated to world peace and finding alternate solutions to energy problems and wars", with its title track carrying an anti-war message. The LP was released only in Italy by Italian label Ricordi International and was not commercially successful. It has never been released in any other format and is now a rare collectible item.
As I Am is the seventh and, to date, final studio album by American Christian singer-songwriter Kim Boyce. It is her first and only release on Diadem Music Group, distributed by Benson Records in 1997. Like her previous album By Faith, As I Am continues her adult contemporary sound. Boyce duets with her husband Gary Koreiba on the track "Amazing Love for Me". Production duties were done by Bryan Lenox while James Hollihan, Jr. produced the track "The Sound of Your Voice".
