Jack Andrew Batty (born 14 October 1990) [4] is an Australian politician. He has been a Liberal Party of Australia member of the South Australian House of Assembly since a July 2022 by-election,representing the electorate of Bragg. [5] [6]
Prior to entering politics,Batty was a lawyer,a staffer for federal minister Christopher Pyne and an aide to High Commissioner to the United Kingdom George Brandis. He was the Liberal candidate for the safe Labor seat of Cheltenham at the 2014 state election. [7]
Batty and his wife Charlotte grew up in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide and bought their first home there around 2015. [2]

The City of Burnside is a local government area in the South Australian city of Adelaide stretching from the Adelaide Parklands into the Adelaide foothills with an area of 2,753 hectares. Bragg is a single-member electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. The seat is named after the eminent physicists Bragg –William Henry and his son,William Lawrence. Vickie Ann Chapman is a former Australian politician,representing the South Australian House of Assembly seat of Bragg for the South Australian Division of the Liberal Party of Australia between the 2002 election and May 2022. Chapman served as the Deputy Premier of South Australia and Attorney-General between 19 March 2018 and 22 November 2021 in the Marshall government. She was the first woman to hold either post.

Jack Batty retained the seat for the Liberal Party,despite a modest swing being recorded against the party.
