Joachim Kuhs (born 25 June 1956 in Schonach) is a German politician who is serving as an Alternative for Germany Member of the European Parliament. [3]
Kuhs worked as a magistrate and for the State Audit Office in Freiburg. He first joined AfD in 2013, being an early member of the party. [4] Within the AfD, he is a member of the Christians in the AfD (ChrAfD) group. [5]
In May 2019, he was elected to the European Parliament for the AfD. In the German local elections taking place at the same time, he was elected to the municipal council of Baden-Baden. [6] In the European Parliament, he sits with the Identity and Democracy group.
In 2020, German journalist Michael Kraske claimed that Kuhs had stated with the "old parties" in Germany would "force the Africanization of our culture." [7]
Stanislaw Rudi Tillich is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). He served as the 3rd Minister President of Saxony from 2008 to 2017. From 1 November 2015 until 31 October 2016, he was President of the Bundesrat and ex officio deputy to the President of Germany. Tillich is of Sorbian ethnicity and lives in Panschwitz-Kuckau (Pančicy-Kukow), which is 35 kilometres north-east of Dresden near Kamenz.
Free Voters is a political party in Germany. It originates as an umbrella organisation of several Free Voters Associations, associations of people which participate in an election without having the status of a registered party. These associations are usually locally-organised groups of voters in the form of a registered association (eV). In most cases, Free Voters campaign only at local government level, standing for city councils and for mayoralties. Free Voters tend to achieve their most successful electoral results in rural areas of southern Germany, appealing most to conservative voters who prefer local decisions to party politics. Free Voter groups are active in all of the states of Germany.
