National Unity was a Peruvian center-right, mainly a Christian democratic electoral alliance.
The Christian People's Party is a center-right and conservative political party based on the principles of Christian democracy. It was founded in 1966 by a group of Peruvian Christian Democrat Party dissidents, led by Luis Bedoya Reyes.
Lourdes Celmira Rosario Flores Nano is a Peruvian lawyer and politician who served as a councilwoman of Lima, Deputy from Lima from 1990 to 1992, Democratic Constituent Congresswoman from 1992 to 1995, Congresswoman from 1995 to 2000, and the Christian People's Party candidate for President of Peru in the 2001 and 2006 elections in which she ran under the National Unity.
Isaac Mekler Neiman is a Peruvian politician and a former Congressman representing the Constitutional Province of Callao for the 2006–2011 term. Originally from the Peruvian Nationalist Party, Mekler switched to the National Solidarity Party of Luis Castañeda in 2009. In the 2011 elections, he lost his seat he ran for re-election under the National Solidarity Alliance of former Lima Mayor Luis Castañeda but he was not re-elected.
Pastor Humberto Lay Sun is a Peruvian evangelical minister of the Iglesia Biblica Emmanuel, an architect, and a politician belonging to the National Restoration Party. He is of Chinese descent. He studied at the Colegio San Andrés. He was also a commissioner on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission that investigated abuses by the Shining Path, Túpac Amaru Revolutionary Movement, and the Military of Peru during the 1980s and 1990s. He was a Congressman representing Lima for the 2011–2016 term.

Rafael Gustavo Yamashiro Oré is a Peruvian politician and a former Congressman representing Ica for the period 2006-2011 and belongs to the Christian People's Party.Yamashiro lost his seat in the 2011 elections when he ran for re-election under the Alliance for the Great Change. In the 2016 elections, he ran for a seat in Lima under the Popular Alliance which grouped the PPC and the APRA but he was not elected.
Elías Nicolás Rodríguez Zavaleta is a Peruvian lawyer and politician belonging to the Peruvian Aprista Party. He was a former Congressman representing La Libertad region from 2006 until the dissolution of Congress by President Martín Vizcarra in 2019. Since 2017, he serves as the Institutional Secretary General of the Peruvian Aprista Party.
Wilson Michael Urtecho Medina is a Peruvian engineer and politician, belonging to the National Solidarity and is a former Congressman representing the Region of La Libertad from 2006 until he was disqualified in December 2013. Urtecho was diagnosed with hypotonia as a child and uses a wheelchair.
Ángel Javier Velásquez Quesquén is a Peruvian lawyer and politician. A prominent member of the Peruvian Aprista Party, he has served in Congress between 2001 and 2019, previously serving from 1995 to 2000. In Alan García's second presidency, Velásquez was sworn as the third Prime Minister of Peru of the administration, succeeding Yehude Simon in 2009. He resigned his post in 2010 with the intention to run for the Peruvian Aprista Party presidential nomination later that year. Although not selected as the nominee, he was part of the presidential ticket of Mercedes Aráoz in which he was the candidate for First Vice President until her withdrawal from the election in January 2011. In 2016, he was reelected for a fifth term in Congress, representing the Lambayeque Region under the Popular Alliance which consisted of the APRA and PPC.
Franco Carpio Guerrero is a Peruvian engineer and politician, who is a former Congressman, elected in the 2006 elections to represent the Lambayeque region for the 2006–2011 term under the National Unity list. Carpio belongs to the Christian People's Party. Carpio unsuccessfully ran for re-election in the 2011 elections, when he ran for re-election under the Alliance for the Great Change of Pedro Pablo Kuczynski in which the Christian Democrats has integrated, but he received a minority of votes and was not returned to Congress. He subsequently retired from politics.

In the 2016 election, Castro Stagnaro tried to run for Congress again in the Lima constituency, under the Popular Alliance under number 2 of the list, which grouped Alan García’s APRA, and the Christian People’s Party, but he was not elected. In party level, he served as President of the Christian People's Party from 2011 and 2016. He was also it's party Secretary General from 2006 and 2011 and as Vice President of the Party from 1999 to 2006.
