Adriatic League

The ABA League, commonly known as the Adriatic League, is a regional men's professional basketball league competition between men's teams from six countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia. Crvena zvezda made the league debut in 2002, in the second season.

KK Crvena zvezda is a men's professional basketball club based in Belgrade, Serbia, which has youth system teams, cadets (under-16) and juniors. The U18 and U19 teams play in the RODA Junior Basketball League of Serbia and the Junior Adriatic League. They have won a Euroleague Basketball Next Generation Tournament. The U16 team plays in the Triglav Cadet Basketball League of Serbia.

The 2015–16 season was the 71st season in the existence of the club. The team played in the Basketball League of Serbia, in the Adriatic League and in the Euroleague.

The Crvena Zvezda–Partizan basketball rivalry, commonly referred as the Eternal derby, is an Adriatic League, Serbian League, and Belgrade-based rivalry between Crvena zvezda and Partizan. These two men's basketball clubs are the biggest and most popular clubs in Serbia. The two clubs both play their home games at Aleksandar Nikolić Hall or Štark Arena in Belgrade. The rivalry started immediately after the creation of the two clubs in 1945 and the two clubs have been dominant in domestic basketball since then. It is present in a number of different sports but the most intense matches are in football sections of both clubs.

The Budućnost–Crvena Zvezda basketball rivalry is an Adriatic League rivalry between Budućnost and Crvena zvezda. While the two teams have played each other since Budućnost joined the Yugoslav League in 1980, their rivalry began to develop in the 1990s through the Serbian-Montenegrin League and reached its peak in the Adriatic League during the late 2010s and early 2020s with 3-in-a-row League Finals.

The 2022–23 KK Crvena zvezda season was the 78th season in the existence of the club. For the season it was referred to as Crvena zvezda mts until 31 December 2022 and later on as Crvena zvezda Meridianbet for sponsorship reasons. The club was a two-time triple crown defending champion.
