Kerala State Road Transport Corporation SWIFT (KSRTC SWIFT), also known as K-SWIFT, is an Indian transport company formed for operating long-distance buses of Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC). [1] [2] The company was formed on 9 November 2021 with an aim to overcome the financial crisis faced by the KSRTC. K-SWIFT functions independently within the KSRTC and the company will be dissolved and the assets merged with the KSRTC in 2031. [3]

KSRTC SWIFT was formed on 9 November 2021. The Government of Kerala set up five temporary posts of senior managers in the newly formed company. Also, KSRTC CMD was entrusted with the task of cooperating with the company. [4]

Kerala State Road Transport Corporation is a state-owned road transport corporation in the Indian state of Kerala. It is one of the country's oldest state-run public bus transport services. The corporation is divided into three zones, and its headquarters is in the state capital Thiruvananthapuram. Daily scheduled service has increased from 1,200,000 kilometres (750,000 mi) to 1,422,546 kilometres (883,929 mi), using 6,241 buses on 6,389 routes. The corporation transports an average of 3.145 million commuters per day.

Vellarada is a border village situated in Thiruvananthapuram district in the state of Kerala, India. It is 42 km from Thiruvananthapuram. It is the southernmost part of Kerala state, sharing its border with Tamil Nadu. Vellarada is said to be the threshold to the high-range areas of the eastern part of Thiruvananthapuram district. Thomas Unniyadan is a politician, former MLA and former Government Chief Whip of the Govt. of Kerala. He is at present the Deputy Chairman of Kerala Congress. He was a member of Kerala legislative assembly from Irinjalakuda from 2001 to 2016. He was born in Vaikom, the famous temple town in Kottayam district, as the son of Sri. Mathew Joseph and Smt. Mary Joseph. He is an advocate by profession. He was awarded the best MLA multiple times and has achieved several recognitions and awards in the national and international level. He was credited with achieving complete electrification of his constituency and was the first constituency in India to achieve this feat. He was also instrumental in familiarizing computers among school children. He is married to Smt. Sherly, and has two daughters. He is settled in Irinjalakuda.

Kannur Deluxe is a 1969 Indian Malayalam-language thriller film, directed by A. B. Raj and produced by T. E. Vasudevan who wrote the story under the pseudonym V. Devan. It is the first road movie in Malayalam which pivots on a theft that occurs in a bus and stars Prem Nazir, Sheela, Adoor Bhasi. The film was released on 16 May 1969.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Silver Line (K-Rail)</span> Semi-high speed rail corridor

The Silver Line is a proposed higher-speed rail line in India that would connect Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city, and Kasaragod of Kerala state. It will have an operating speed of 200 kilometres per hour (120 mph), Maximum Design Speed: 220 km/h (140 mph), structures designed for 250 km/h (160 mph) allowing trains to cover the 532-kilometre (331 mi) distance in less than four hours, compared to the present 10 to 12 hours it takes to traverse this distance. Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Chengannur, Kottayam, Kochi, Thrissur, Tirur, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod will be the stations in this corridor. The project is temporarily halted by the state government till the Central government approval.

KSRTC Bus Terminal Complex Thiruvalla is a transport hub located in the Thiruvalla town in the Indian state of Kerala, owned and operated by Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) under its south zone with depot code TVL. It is located near SCS Junction and is accessible via NH 183. It is one of the four BOT projects of KSRTC under KTDFC.
