Karivalasa is a village in Garugubilli mandal in the revenue division of Parvathipuram in Vizianagaram district of India. [1]
Karivalasa is an whole inamdari village and a hamlet of Chilakam panchayat. whole of the lands relating to Chilakam panchayat about 1800 acres were under the control of a Brahmin inamdari family having surname Sri Adibhatla. After the abolition of whole inamdars and zamindars the communist party under the leadership of Adibhatla Kailasam a family member of the said family organised the peasants and led the legal battle in the courts for lands to the tenants By virtue of court judgements the family lost all the lands to the tenants.
Karivalasa had a population of 500 in 2011. The average literacy rate is 64.5%. Approximately 350 acres in this village. The Main crop is rice. Other crops are gingili, lentils, greengrams, jute, etc.
