Khasbag Stadium is a national wrestling stadium in Kolhapur city, Maharashtra, India. This is a biggest wrestling stadium in India.[ according to whom? ] The stadium was built in the time of Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj [ citation needed ] and is almost a hundred-year-old stadium.[ as of? ] And this is heritage site also.[ citation needed ]

Khasbag stadium, also known as Khasbaug Maidan (Ground), is 1 kilometre South-East to Mahalaxmi Temple and 8 Kilometers South-West to Central Bus Stand of Kolhapur. The structure flaunts a seating arrangement for about 30,000 people around a Wrestling Ring also called "Houd". Special seating is available for the members of the royal family of Kolhapur on the east side of the wrestling ring.

In 2012, it was the venue for the '46th Hind Kesari wrestling championship'. [1] It was held to mark the centenary of Khasbag wrestling arena.

New Palace, Kolhapur is a palace situated in Kolhapur, in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The Palace took 7 years to complete, from 1877 to 1884, costing about seven lakhs of rupees. Being an excellent specimen of Indian architecture built in black polished stone, it has been an attraction for tourists. It has extensive premises with a garden, fountain and wrestling ground. The whole building is eight-angled and has a tower in the middle. The clock on it was fixed in 1877. At separate distances there are small towers. The stadium is owned and managed by Kolhapur Cricket Association. It is named after a great Maratha warrior Shivaji who ruled Maharashtra for many years. Till date the stadium has hosted 14 first-class matches from 1952 to 2006 as well as one List A match in 1990 when Maharashtra cricket team took on in 18 run defeat over Wills' XI.
