Kino Barrandov is the second channel of TV Barrandov group. The channel began broadcasting on 18 April 2015. [1]

Contents

Kino Barrandov is a thematic program focused primarily on acquisition film and serial production. The program is broadcast 24 hours a day in Czech language. [2] The license for DVB-T and satellite broadcasting was granted on 17 February 2015.

The channel broadcasts programs of its own creation, such as Nebezpečné vztahy, Jak to dopadlo!? or Co bude dnes k večeři?

Kino Barrandov broadcasts in Multiplex 23. Also in the cable network UPC and PODA, in IPTV O2TV and also in the Skylink satellite service.

Czech television channels are also popular in Slovakia, received in paid DVB-T2 service, directly in border regions or carried by cable companies and satellite operators. Most of premium channels like Filmbox, HBO, Viasat Channels, etc. broadcast only in Czech. Discovery, Sport 1, Sport 2 and few others are exception, they broadcast in both Czech and Slovak.

Prima televize is a Czech private television station. Its channel is broadcast from Prague. Its current owner is FTV Prima, spol. s. r. o., which is majority-owned by Czech investment firm GES, in turn owned by Czech oligarch Ivan Zach. The group's current general manager is Marek Singer. It is the first private TV channel in the Czech Republic and the former Czechoslovakia.

A week with the President was a Czech Journalist television program broadcast by TV Barrandov. The first episode was broadcast on 16 March 2017. It was presented by Petr Kolář and Alex Mynářová, as they interviewed Czech president Miloš Zeman, who commented on current events. It quickly became one of the most viewed journalistic programs in the Czech Republic. The program was considered part of Zeman's re-election campaign for the 2018 presidential election. It was discontinued in January 2020.
