The Kiro Congo (KCD) is a Catholic youth organization in the Democratic Republic of Congo. [1] It is one of the more important youth movements in the country. [2] Kiro Congo is a member of the Catholic umbrella of youth organizations Fimcap. [3] [4]

History

Kiro was founded on 11 November 1947. [1] [3] The youth movement grew quickly in the 1950s. In 1957 already about 150 Kiro groups existed in the Democratic Republic of Congo. [4] [5] In 1960 Kiro had already about 240 boys' and girls' groups with approximately 17,000 individual members. [4]

The FIMCAP, which is short for Fédération Internationale des Mouvements Catholiques d’Action Paroissiale, is an umbrella organization for Catholic youth organizations. Its 31 member organizations are based in 28 countries. The FIMCAP was founded in 1962 and is recognised as an official Catholic organization by the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life. FIMCAP is also a full member of the European Youth Forum.

Jong Nederland is a Catholic youth organization in the Netherlands. Jong Nederland is a member of the Catholic umbrella of youth organizations "Fimcap".

Coordinació Catalana de Colònies, Casals i Clubs d’Esplai (CCCCCE) is a Catholic youth organization in Catalonia. CCCCCE is one of the biggest members of the Catalan youth council and a member of the Catholic umbrella of youth organizations Fimcap.

Asociația Grupurilor Locale de Tineret is a Romanian youth organisation. At international level AGLT is an associate member of the Catholic umbrella of youth organizations Fimcap.

The Catholic Youth Organization Sierra Leone is a Catholic youth organization in Sierra Leone. CYO Sierra Leone is a member of the Catholic umbrella of youth organizations Fimcap.

The Catholic Youth Organization Nigeria is a Catholic youth organization in Nigeria. CYO Nigeria is a member of the Catholic umbrella of youth organizations Fimcap.

Xaveri Burundi is a Catholic youth organization in the Burundi. Xaveri Burundi is part of the African Xaveri Movement and a member of the Catholic umbrella of youth organizations Fimcap.

Xaveri Rwanda is a Catholic youth organization in the Rwanda. Xaveri Rwanda is part of the African Xaveri Movement and a member of the Catholic umbrella of youth organizations Fimcap.

Niños Perseverantes Paraguayos Católico (NIPPAC) is a Catholic youth organization in Paraguay. NIPPAC is a member of the Catholic umbrella of youth organizations Fimcap.
