Krieg is a 2010 remix album by industrial rock band KMFDM containing remixes of songs from their 2009 album Blitz . [1] Krieg was released exclusively on the band's own label, KMFDM Records, [1] on 5 January 2010.

Günter Schulz

Günter Schulz is a German musician, songwriter and former member of the industrial band KMFDM. His first credited appearance was on the band's Naïve album (1990). He continued using that stage name until 1995's Nihil. Schulz displayed an impressive mastery of speed metal guitar skills and co-wrote many of KMFDM's songs from the 1990s. He also wrote and performed in various KMFDM side projects, including two albums with Sascha Konietzko's Excessive Force and a solo album by En Esch. He currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Angelspit

Angelspit is an electronic music band originally from Sydney, Australia, and currently based in Chicago, United States. The band was formed in 2004 by vocalists/synthesists Destroyx and ZooG. The band's music combines stylistic elements of horror, punk, pop and electronic music. Their work contains imagery revolving around medical experiments and grotesque societies. Angelspit has toured with Angel Theory, Ayria, Ikon, KMFDM, Tankt and The Crüxshadows, and have also shared the stage with bands such as The Sisters of Mercy, Nitzer Ebb, Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly. Vileevils was an electronic dance duo, formed when the 2005 reunion of Pop Will Eat Itself (PWEI) failed to become a full-time project. "Day of Light" is a song by industrial rock band KMFDM that was first released on February 1, 2010, on 7" vinyl, and was limited to 250 copies that sold out in less than 36 hours. The title track on side A features vocals by William Wilson of Legion Within, a band with whom KMFDM frontman Sascha Konietzko worked on two albums. The B-side is an instrumental track. Both tracks were made available for download as mp3s from the KMFDM online store on March 13, 2010, and "Day of Light" was included, along with a remix, on the "Krank" single.

The album took about twice as long as usual for the band to produce, and underwent a significant amount of modification during its recording.
