La Platte is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sarpy County, Nebraska, United States. [2]
La Platte was laid out in 1870. It was named from the Platte River. [4]
A post office was established at La Platte in 1871, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1955. [5]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.8 square kilometres (0.31 sq mi), of which 0.75 square kilometres (0.29 sq mi) is land and 0.05 square kilometres (0.019 sq mi) is water.
