Lar (Persian : لار‎, also Romanized as Lār; also known as Lārī, Īl Ārī, and Iliari)^[1] is a village in Rudqat Rural District, Sufian District, Shabestar County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 530, in 102 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Rudqat Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Sufian District, Shabestar County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 11,838, in 2,940 families. The rural district has 19 villages.

Sufian District is a district (bakhsh) in Shabestar County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 38,767, in 10,043 families. The District has one city: Sufian. The District has three rural districts (dehestan): Chelleh Khaneh Rural District, Mishu-e Jonubi Rural District, and Rudqat Rural District.
