Mehtar Ahmad (Persian : مهتراحمد‎, also Romanized as Mehtar Aḩmad; also known as Mahtarābād and Meytaramad)^[1] is a village in Mishu-e Jonubi Rural District, Sufian District, Shabestar County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 250, in 68 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Mishu-e Jonubi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Sufian District, Shabestar County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 10,276, in 2,621 families. The rural district has 10 villages.
