Superfly is a Japanese rock act that debuted on April 4, 2007. Formerly a duo, the act now consists solely of lyricist and vocalist Shiho Ochi with former guitarist Kōichi Tabo still credited as the group's composer and part-time lyricist. Superfly's first two studio albums were certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan, and their first four consecutive albums all debuted at the top of the Oricon Weekly Album Charts, a first for a female recording artist in Japan in over seven years.

A music video for the song was also released on the same day. Promotions for the song resulted in (G)I-dle's first music show win on SBS MTV's The Show on May 22, 2018. The song also resulted in a second win on Mnet's M Countdown.
U & Cube Festival 2019 in Japan is the first joint concert of 'U-Cube' that was established in November 2018 by Cube Entertainment and the Japanese subsidiary of Universal Music Japan. The concert takes place at Musashino Forest Sport Plaza in Tokyo. The event is scheduled nine months after United Cube Concert – One concert held at KINTEX. The concert was attended by 6,000 fans.

Oh My God is the second Japanese extended play by South Korean girl group (G)I-dle. The album was released by Universal Music Japan on August 26, 2020, after a year since Latata released. It contains Japanese versions of previously released singles "Oh My God", "Uh-Oh", "Senorita" and "Dumdi Dumdi" as well as one original Japanese track, "Tung-Tung (Empty)" which was written and composed by member Minnie.
Universe: The History is the second studio album and debut Japanese album release by South Korean boy group Pentagon. The album was released on September 23, 2020, containing Japanese songs from their debut mini album Gorilla and debut singles "Cosmo" and "Happiness / Sha La La". Member Jinho participated in the activities before enlisted for his mandatory military service on May 11, 2020.

Naniwa Danshi (なにわ男子) is a Japanese boy band formed by Starto Entertainment on October 6, 2018. It consists of seven members who primarily come from the Kansai region. The group's official debut announcement was made on July 28, 2021, through their label Storm Labels. Their debut single, "Ubu Love", was released on November 12, 2021. Naniwa Danshi is the fourth Starto Entertainment group from the Kansai region after KinKi Kids, Super Eight, and West. to make an official debut. The name "Naniwa" refers to the old name of Osaka. In just 4 months they sold 1.14 million physical copies in Japan.
Mikunoyoasobi is the second extended play (EP) by Japanese Vocaloid producer and songwriter Ayase. It was originally released exclusively on CD to Tower Records Japan store on January 6, 2021, through Sony Music Entertainment Japan. Subsequently, the EP was available on streaming platforms on September 21, 2023, two years and eight months after its original release. Mikunoyoasobi contains cover versions of seven tracks from Yoasobi's debut EP The Book recorded by Vocaloid software voicebank Hatsune Miku, including "Yoru ni Kakeru", which originally appears on the CD version of Ayase's debut EP Ghost City Tokyo.

Circus is the second Japanese-language extended play (EP) by South Korean boy band Stray Kids. It was released on June 22, 2022, through Epic Records Japan. Centered on a circus concept with hip hop, trap, rock, and pop elements, the EP consists of six tracks, preceded by the Japanese version of "Maniac", "Your Eyes", and the title track. Commercially, Circus debuted at number two on the Oricon Albums Chart, and atop Billboard Japan Hot Albums, and was certified platinum by Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ), surpassing 250,000 copies.
