Les Bolstad Golf Course is a golf course owned by the University of Minnesota. The course is located in Falcon Heights, Minnesota on the "St. Paul" campus of the University. The school's cross country teams use it to hold meets, including the Roy Griak Invitational. [2]

The school's golf teams now hold matches off campus in Blaine, Minnesota at the TPC Twin Cities (Tournament Players Club of the Twin Cities).

Hassan Mead is a Somali-American long-distance runner. He was a cross country and track athlete for the University of Minnesota. An eight-time All-American in his Minnesota career, four in cross country and five in track. He is a nine-time Big Ten Conference Champion winning two in cross country, and seven in track, sweeping all distance events in the 2009 indoor and outdoor seasons. Mead is currently running with the Oregon Track Club in Eugene, Oregon. Prior to his time at the University of Minnesota, Hassan was a 2007 graduate of Minneapolis South High School.

Larpenteur Avenue is a main thoroughfare in Ramsey County, Minnesota, United States. Originally named Minneapolis Avenue, it was renamed by the Saint Paul City Council in 1904 in honor of Auguste Louis Larpenteur, a fur trader and one of the original 12 citizens in the city of Saint Paul. The west end of Larpenteur Avenue is at the border with Hennepin County in Lauderdale, immediately west of Minnesota State Highway 280. Larpenteur continues east from Lauderdale through the cities of Falcon Heights, Roseville, and Saint Paul, where it is an exit off of Interstate 35E and bisected by Lake Phalen to the east.
