Leucostethus brachistriatus is a species of frog in the family Dendrobatidae. [2] [4] It is endemic to Colombia and occurs on the western slopes of Cordillera Central and on Cordillera Occidental. [1] [5] Common name stripe-throated rocket frog has been proposed for it. [1] [2]
The holotype is a female measuring 22 mm (0.9 in) in snout–vent length. The tympanum is relatively large but partly concealed and not very conspicuous. The fingers have neither webbing nor lateral fringes. Basal webbing is present between the toes II–V. The dorsum is cream-colored. An oblique lateral band runs from the eye to the groin. [3]
Leucostethus brachistriatus is a terrestrial frog found near streams in sub-Andean forests, where it has been observed about 1500 meters above sea level. It is common where forested habitat remains, but it is a very adaptable species that is also found in cropland and cow pastures. The eggs are deposited in leaf litter. The tadpoles are then carried to streams where they continue their development. [1]
This species is not substantially threatened, although it can suffer from the forest loss that is occurring throughout its range. It is present in the Ucumari regional reserve and in the Barbas-Bremen Ecological Corridor. [1]
Colostethus agilis is a species of frog in the family Dendrobatidae. It is endemic to Colombia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and rivers.

Hyloxalus betancuri is a species of frogs in the family Dendrobatidae. It is endemic to Colombia where it is only known from its type locality in Ituango, Antioquia Department, on the Cordillera Occidental at 1,450 m (4,760 ft) asl. Its natural habitats are sub-Andean forests where it can be found on the ground next to streams. There are no known threats to this species, and the type locality is within the Parque Nacional Natural Paramillo.
Hyloxalus borjai is a species of frog in the family Dendrobatidae. It is endemic to Colombia and only known from its type locality, Amalfi, Antioquia, on the Cordillera Central at 1,575 m (5,167 ft) asl. Its natural habitats are sub-Andean forests. Very little is known about this species.
Hyloxalus breviquartus is a species of frog in the family Dendrobatidae. It is found in the northern part of Cordillera Occidental in Antioquia, Colombia, and in Carchi Province in northwestern Ecuador. Colombian distribution may be wider. Its natural habitats are montane forests next to streams and very humid premontane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss, although it occurs in the Las Orquídeas National Natural Park, its type locality.
Hyloxalus cevallosi, also known as Palanda rocket frog, is a species of poison dart frogs in the family Dendrobatidae. It is named after Gabriel Cevallos García, a famous Ecuadorean writer. This species of frog occurs on the east side of the Andes in Ecuador in the Pastaza Province. Its natural habitats are very humid premontane and pluvial premontane forests.

Hyloxalus exasperatus or the Yapitya rocket frog is a species of frog in the family Dendrobatidae. It is endemic to Ecuador and found on the eastern slopes of the Andes in Pastaza and Morona-Santiago Provinces. However, it is suggested that specimens from Pastaza represent a different, possibly undescribed species.
Hyloxalus excisus is a species of frog in the family Dendrobatidae. It is endemic to Colombia. It is only known from its type locality near Medellín, Antioquia Department, on the Cordillera Central, 2200 meters above sea level.

Leucostethus fugax, also known as Pastaza rocket frog, is a species of frog in the family Dendrobatidae. It is endemic to the eastern slopes of the Cordillera Oriental, southern Ecuador. Although originally only known from the valley of Pastaza River, it is now known to be more widespread. Its known range extends close to the Peruvian border and its true range may include Peru.
Colostethus inguinalis is a species of frog in the family Dendrobatidae. It is endemic to northwestern and northcentral Colombia. Its vernacular name is common rocket frog, although this name can also refer to Colostethus panamansis that until 2004 was considered a junior synonym of Colostethus inguinalis. Much of the older literature on Colostethus inguinalis is actually about Colostethus panamansis.
