Like Mike: Music From the Motion Picture is the soundtrack to John Schultz's 2002 American sports comedy film Like Mike . It was released on July 2, 2002 through So So Def/Columbia/Sony Soundtrax and consists of hip hop and contemporary R&B music. Production was handled by Jermaine Dupri, Chris Stokes, Cutmaster Swiff, Just Blaze, Kerry Brothers Jr., Platinum Status, Pop-Trax, Rainfall, The Neptunes and Trackmasters, with Alicia Keys and LaMarquis Jefferson serving as co-producers. It features contributions from the film star Lil' Bow Wow, as well as Amerie, B2K, Jagged Edge, Jermaine Dupri, Fabolous, Fundisha, Mario, R.O.C., Solange Knowles, The Crowd Pleasers, TQ and Young Steff.
The album debuted at number 18 on the Billboard 200 and number 10 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums in the United States. Its single "Basketball", a cover version of Kurtis Blow's 1984 song, reached number 44 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and number 25 on the Hot Rap Songs in the US and number 53 on the Swiss Hitparade and number 81 in GfK Entertainment charts.
The album also features two previously released singles — "Rule" and "Take Ya Home". "Rule", taken from Nas' fifth studio album Stillmatic , peaked at number 67 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs in the US. "Take Ya Home", which taken from Lil' Bow Wow's second album Doggy Bag and serves as the theme song for the film, made it to number 72 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The soundtrack marks the final album wherein Lil' Bow Wow uses "Lil'" in his moniker and is also Bow Wow's final album under So So Def Recordings.

Shad Gregory Moss, better known by his stage name Bow Wow, is an American rapper and actor. His career began upon being discovered by rapper Snoop Dogg in 1993 at the age of six; five years later, he signed with record producer Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Recordings, an imprint of Columbia Records. As Lil' Bow Wow, he released his debut studio album, Beware of Dog (2000) at age 13, and his second album, Doggy Bag (2001) the following year. Both met with critical and commercial success, the albums peaked at numbers ten and 11 on the Billboard 200, respectively.
Jermaine Dupri Mauldin is an American record producer, rapper, songwriter, music executive, and entrepreneur. Raised in Atlanta, Georgia, as the son of Columbia Records executive Michael Mauldin, he began his career in music production at the age of nine. He discovered the teen hip hop duo Kris Kross in 1991. Dupri wrote and produced their 1992 single "Jump," which peaked atop the Billboard Hot 100 and was named the 23rd most successful song of that decade. He established his own record label, So So Def Recordings in a joint venture with Columbia the following year.
Johntá Moore Austin is an American singer-songwriter and record producer. He is best known for his production and songwriting work on hometown native Jermaine Dupri's record label, So So Def Recordings during the mid-2000s.
Doggy Bag is the second studio album by American rapper Lil' Bow Wow. It was released on December 18, 2001 through So So Def Recordings and Columbia Records. Recording sessions for the album took place from 2000 to 2001. The production on the album was primarily handled by Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox. The song praises Dupri and Ludacris' hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. It interpolates "Five Minutes of Funk" by Whodini and samples "Do It Baby" by The Miracles.

"Outta My System" is a song by American rapper Bow Wow. It's the second and final single off his fifth studio album The Price of Fame. It features fellow American rapper T-Pain and American singer Johntá Austin. The original next single was supposed to be "I'm a Flirt" but was cancelled in favor of "Outta My System", that the fact that R. Kelly was preoccupied on the charts with Snoop Dogg's "That's That Shit" and Young Jeezy's "Go Getta" led to it being delayed. The song peaked at number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100, his eighth top 40 hit and T-Pain's sixth top 40 hit on that chart. It also peaked at number 2 and 12 on the Hot Rap Songs and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts respectively and number 7 in New Zealand. The video premiered on Valentine's Day on BET's Access Granted.

Xscape is an American girl group from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 1990 by Kandi Burruss, Tamera Coggins, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, LaTocha Scott, and Tamika Scott. The following year, Coggins left the group and Xscape became a quartet. They were discovered by Jermaine Dupri who signed the group to his So So Def label. The group released their debut album Hummin' Comin' at 'Cha in 1993, which spawned two top-ten Billboard Hot 100 hits, "Just Kickin' It" and "Understanding". The album sold over one million copies in the United States, earning a platinum-certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Wild Wild West is an album of music inspired by the 1999 film Wild Wild West. It was released June 15, 1999, through Interscope Records and consisted mostly of hip hop and R&B songs which were not in the film, with the exception of one by Will Smith and another by Enrique Iglesias played over the end credits. Other artists featured on the album include BLACKstreet, Faith Evans, Dr. Dre, Common, MC Lyte, Tatyana Ali, Slick Rick, Jermaine Dupri and Eminem. The soundtrack was a commercial success,, peaking at number four on the US Billboard 200 and on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and features the hit single "Wild Wild West" which went to number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. The album was certified double platinum a week after its release, June 21, 1999. The album is also the debut of famous artists Lil' Bow Wow, Jill Scott and Kel Spencer.
