The KwaZulu-Natal Legislature is the primary legislative body of the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal. It is unicameral in its composition and elects the premier and the provincial cabinet from among the leading party or coalition members in the parliament.
John Henry Steenhuisen is a South African politician who has served as the leader of the Opposition since October 2019 and has been the federal leader of the Democratic Alliance since November 2020, having served as the interim leader for one year from November 2019. He was chief whip of the official opposition from May 2014 until October 2019. The Thirteenth Amendment of the Constitution of South Africa re-enacted provisions of the Twelfth Amendment which the Constitutional Court ruled had not been validly enacted. These provisions transferred the Matatiele Local Municipality from KwaZulu-Natal province to the Eastern Cape province.
Zwakele Maxwell Mncwango is a South African politician serving as a Member of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature since 2018. He served as the Leader of the Opposition in the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature from 2018 to 2019. He was the Provincial Leader of the KwaZulu-Natal Democratic Alliance (DA) from 2015 to 2021. Mncwango was the party's KwaZulu-Natal Premier candidate for the 2019 election.
Nontembeko Nothemba "Ntobeko" Boyce is a South African politician who has been serving as the Speaker of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature since 22 May 2019. A member of the African National Congress (ANC), she joined the legislature in May 2014. She served as the deputy chief whip before her appointment as chief whip in 2016. She also formerly served as the chairperson of the legislature's Standing Committee on Oversight.
Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu is a South African lawyer and African National Congress (ANC) politician who has been serving as the KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Health since May 2019. She became a Member of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature in May 2014. She was the chair of the legislature's Agriculture Portfolio Committee from 2014 to 2019. Simelane-Zulu was previously involved in the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL).
Mosimanegare Kenneth Mmoiemang is a South African politician who has been a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces since May 2019. He is a member of the Northern Cape delegation. He was the provincial MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs from 2009 to 2013 and the speaker of the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature from 2013 to 2019. Mmoiemang is a member of the African National Congress (ANC).
Simo Ezra Mfayela was a South African politician from KwaZulu-Natal who served as a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces from May 2019 until his death. He was the sole permanent representative of the Inkatha Freedom Party and the deputy provincial chairperson of the party. Mfayela was the son of the former senator Senzo Mfayela.
Sibongiseni Ngcobo is a South African politician who has been a Member of Parliament (MP) in the National Assembly since May 2019. A member of the Democratic Alliance, he is currently the youngest Member of the National Assembly. Ngcobo served as a DA councillor in the Richmond Local Municipality from 2016 to 2019.
Bridget Staff Masango is a South African Democratic Alliance politician from Gauteng who has served as the Shadow Minister of Social Development since October 2015. She has also been a Member of the National Assembly since October 2015. From May 2014 to October 2015, Masango served as a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces.

KwaZulu-Natal is one of the nine multi-member constituencies of the National Assembly of South Africa, the lower house of the Parliament of South Africa, the national legislature of South Africa. The constituency was established in 1994 when the National Assembly was established by the Interim Constitution following the end of Apartheid. It is conterminous with the province of KwaZulu-Natal. The constituency currently elects 41 of the 400 members of the National Assembly using the closed party-list proportional representation electoral system. At the 2019 general election it had 5,524,666 registered electors.

He is currently serving as Co-Chairperson of the Joint Standing Committee on Defence and as Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Defence and Military Veterans. A member of the African National Congress, he previously served in the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature from 1994 to 2009 and from 2014 to 2019. He was the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development from 2014 to 2016.
Thandiwe Rose Marry Zungu is a South African politician and a Member of Parliament (MP) for the African National Congress from KwaZulu-Natal.
Mthenjwa Amon Zondi is a South African politician who has served in the National Assembly since 2020. Prior to serving in parliament, he served as a member of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature from 2014 to 2019. Zondi is a member of the African National Congress.
Duduzile Patricia Sibiya is a South African politician and a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa. She is a member of the African National Congress (ANC).
Masefako Clarah Dikgale is a South African politician who has been a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since 2019. Prior to serving in the National Assembly, she served as a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces from Limpopo from 2009 to 2019. Dikgale is a member of the African National Congress.
