The National Council of Provinces (NCOP) is the upper house of the Parliament of South Africa under the (post-apartheid) constitution which came into full effect in 1997. It replaced the former Senate,but is very similar to that body,and to many other upper houses of legislatures throughout the world,in that its purpose is to represent the governments of the provinces,rather than directly representing the people.
James Masango is a South African politician,and a member of the opposition Democratic Alliance (DA). He currently serves in the national leadership as deputy chairperson of the Federal Council,and as a municipal councillor for the DA in Govan Mbeki municipality. Ockert Stefanus "Okkie" Terblanche is a South African politician and retired police general serving as the Shadow Deputy Minister of Police since June 2019. He has been a Member of the National Assembly since May 2019. He represented the Western Cape in the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) from October 2015 to May 2019. Terblanche is a member of the Democratic Alliance (DA).
Carin Visser is a South African politician. Since 2019 she has been serving as a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces. She is a member of the North West provincial delegation. She was a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa from 2017 to 2018 and a Member of the North West Provincial Legislature from 2018 to 2019. She was also a municipal councillor of the Tswaing Local Municipality. Visser served the provincial chairperson of the Democratic Alliance (DA) from 2015 to 2020.
Johan Jaco Londt is a South African politician who serves as a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces. He has held the office since May 2019 and previously held it from May 2014 until September 2018. He is a member of the Western Cape provincial delegation. Between September 2018 and May 2019,he served as a member of the National Assembly. Londt is a member of the Democratic Alliance (DA). He was chairperson of the party's east region in the Western Cape from 2015 to 2020.
Thandi Gloria Mpambo-Sibhukwana was a South African educator and legislator. She was a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces from 2014 to 2019 and a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa from 2019 until her death in 2020. She was a member of the Democratic Alliance (DA) and a member of the Portfolio Committee on Social Development.
Yvonne Nkwenkwezi "Pinky" Phosa is a South African politician who served as a Member of the National Assembly for the African National Congress from 2014 until 2019. She was the chairperson of parliament's Standing Committee on Appropriations from 2016 until 2019. Before her election to Parliament,she served in the Mpumalanga provincial government. Phosa is the wife of former ANC treasurer-general and previous Mpumalanga premier Mathews Phosa.
Annerie Maria Magdalena Weber is a South African politician who serves as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa. A member of the Democratic Alliance,she was elected to Parliament in May 2019. Weber served as the chairperson of the DA's caucus in the Nkangala District Municipality between 2015 and 2019.
Bridget Staff Masango is a South African Democratic Alliance politician from Gauteng who has served as the Shadow Minister of Social Development since October 2015. She has also been a Member of the National Assembly since October 2015. From May 2014 to October 2015,Masango served as a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces.
Denis Joseph is a South African politician from the Western Cape. A member of the Democratic Alliance,he was elected as a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces in 2011. He served in the NCOP until his election to the Western Cape Provincial Parliament in 2014. After the 2019 election,Joseph returned to Parliament to serve as an MP in the National Assembly.

Isaac Mbulelo Sileku is a South African politician who has been a Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament since 2022. A member of the Democratic Alliance,he previously served as the Deputy Executive Mayor of the Theewaterskloof Local Municipality from 2016 until 2019 and as a Permanent Delegate to the National Council of Provinces from the Western Cape from 2019 to 2022.
Masefako Clarah Dikgale is a South African politician who has been a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since 2019. Prior to serving in the National Assembly,she served as a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces from Limpopo from 2009 to 2019. Dikgale is a member of the African National Congress.
Madipoane Refiloe Moremadi Mothapo is a South African politician who has served as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa for the African National Congress since 2021. She had previously served as an African National Congress MP from 2014 to 2019.
Farhat Essack is a South African politician who has been a Democratic Alliance (DA) Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since April 2022. Esaack had previously served as a Thaba Chweu Local Municipality councillor from 1996 to 2014 and as a Permanent Delegate to the National Council of Provinces from Mpumalanga from 2014 to 2019.
Wendy Robyn Alexander is a South African politician who has been a Democratic Alliance Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since November 2022.
