The Shenzhen Metro (深圳地铁) is the rapid transit system for the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong province, China. The newest lines and extensions which opened on December 27, 2024 put the network at 595.1 kilometres of trackage. It currently operates on 17 lines with 398 stations. Despite having only opened on December 28, 2004, the Shenzhen Metro is the 5th longest metro system in the world. By 2035, the network is planned to comprise 8 express and 24 non-express lines totaling 1,142 kilometres of trackage.
Universiade station is an interchange station for Line 3, Line 14 and Line 16 of the Shenzhen Metro between Jihe Highway and Huangge South Road. Line 3 platforms opened on 28 December 2010, Line 14 platforms opened on 28 October 2022 and Line 16 platforms opened on 28 December 2022. It serves as the western terminus of Line 16 until the extension to Yuanshan Xikeng opens in 2025.
Gangxia North station is an interchange station for Line 2, Line 10, Line 11 and Line 14 of the Shenzhen Metro. Line 2 platforms opened on June 28, 2011, Line 10, Line 11 and Line 14 platforms opened on October 28, 2022. Measuring 220,000 meters square, it is 1.6 times as large as the nearby intermodal Futian station. It is the second four-line interchange hub in Shenzhen after Chegongmiao station.
Line 6, also known as the Guangming line of the Shenzhen Metro is in operation. Line 6 is part of the Phase III expansion of the Shenzhen Metro with a construction time frame scheduled for 2015–2019.
Line 10, also known as the Bantian line of the Shenzhen Metro began construction at the end of 2015. The line opened on 18 August 2020. Line 10 has a length of 29.3 km (18.2 mi) and a total of 24 stations. It connects the Futian Checkpoint to Shuangyong Street. In the southern terminus of the line, a 555 meters long and 50.5 meters wide double deck underground depot capable of storing 16 trains will be constructed.
Line 12 of the Shenzhen Metro is one of the four new metro lines of Phase IV expansion in the Chinese city of Shenzhen. Its construction began in 2017 and it opened on 28 November 2022. The line uses six car type A trains and runs north to south on the east banks of the Pearl River Delta.
Line 18 of the Guangzhou Metro is a rapid transit express line in Guangzhou with trains operating up to 160 km/h (99 mph). It runs in a south-north direction, connecting Wanqingsha in Nansha District, Panyu Square in Panyu District, Modiesha in Haizhu District, Zhujiang New Town and Guangzhou East Railway Station in Tianhe District. The line commenced service on 28 September 2021.
Line 14 of the Shenzhen Metro is a rapid transit line in Shenzhen. It runs southwest–northeast from Gangxia North in Futian District to Shatian in Pingshan District. Line 14 is envisioned as an urban express line with higher operating top speeds and wider stop spacings, additionally Line 14 serves as the relief line to the congested Line 3. The line is equipped with automatic train operation using high capacity 8 car type A trains. To improve journey times a number of express and direct express runs were introduced in December 2022.
Line 22 of the Guangzhou Metro is a partially open rapid transit express line in Guangzhou with trains operating up to 160 km/h (99 mph). It runs between Panyu Square and Chentougang, passing Guangzhou South Railway Station in Panyu District, and will eventually run in a north-south direction passing Xilang and Fangcun in Liwan District. Currently, there are train attendants on board each train. In the future, trains will operate fully driverless GoA4 mode when sufficient reliability from the signaling system has been confirmed.
Line 15 of the Shenzhen Metro is a Phase V expansion metro line under construction, which will connect the districts of Bao'an, Nanshan and Qianhai for 32.2 kilometers and 24 stations. Construction started on 28 June 2023, and the line is expected to open in December 2028. The line is proposed to use 4 car and 6 car type A trains.
Pingshan Center station is a station on Line 14 of Shenzhen Metro in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, which is opened on 28 October 2022. It is located in Pingshan District.
Pingshanwei station is an interchange station for Line 14 and Line 16 of the Shenzhen Metro. It is located in Pingshan District. Line 14 platforms is opened on 28 October 2022 and Line 16 platforms opened on 28 December 2022.
Jinlong station is a station on Line 14 of Shenzhen Metro in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, which opened on 28 October 2022. It is located in Pingshan District.
Pingshan station is a metro station on Line 16 of Shenzhen Metro. It was opened on December 28, 2022. Located at Longgang District, it is connected to the Shenzhen Pingshan railway station on the Xiamen–Shenzhen railway. Construction of the station finished in 2021 along with other stations at Pingshan District.
Huanggekeng station is a station on Line 16 of Shenzhen Metro. It opened on December 28, 2022. It is located in Longgang District at the junction of Huangge Road and Qinglin Road.
Xintangwei station is a station on Line 16 of Shenzhen Metro. It opened on December 28, 2022. It is located in Longgang District at the junction of Shenxian Road and Xingdong Avenue.
Xinhe station is a station on Line 16 of Shenzhen Metro. It opened on December 28, 2022. It is located in Pingshan District under Baoshan 2nd Industrial Zone North.
Hi-Tech Central station, is a station on Line 13 of Shenzhen Metro. It opened on December 28, 2024, and is the current northern terminus of the line until the extension to Shangwu opens.
Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint station, is a station on Line 13 of Shenzhen Metro. It opened on December 28, 2024, and is located in Nanshan District on the north side of Shenzhen Bay Port. It serves the Shenzhen Bay Port and its transportation hub.
