KAT-TUN is a Japanese boy band formed under Smile-Up in 2001. The group's name was originally an acronym based on the first letter of each member's family name: Kazuya Kamenashi, Jin Akanishi, Junnosuke Taguchi, Koki Tanaka, Tatsuya Ueda, and Yuichi Nakamaru. Their debut on March 22, 2006, was marked by a tripartite release of a CD single, album and music DVD on their exclusive record label J-One Records. Since then, all of their single, album and music DVD releases have debuted at number one on the Oricon music and DVD charts.
Shūji to Akira was a special temporary unit formed by KAT-TUN member Kazuya Kamenashi and NEWS member Tomohisa Yamashita for their 2005 drama Nobuta o Produce. Shūji (修二) and Akira (彰) are the names of the characters Kamenashi and Yamashita play in the drama respectively. Although the drama has long finished on television, the duo have revived their performance of their song "Seishun Amigo" numerous times. In 2017, they formed another special temporary unit, Kame to Yamapi, for their 2017 drama Boku, Unmei no Hito desu.
"Real Face" is a song written by Shikao Suga, Joker, Tak Matsumoto and Chokkaku for the debut single and debut album of the Japanese boy band, KAT-TUN. It was released on March 22, 2006, and debuted on the Oricon daily and weekly singles charts at number 1 where it stayed on the latter for 3 weeks. The song would eventually sell over a million copies by the end of 2006 and was named Japan's best-selling single of the year.
"Signal" is a song written by Ma-saya, Joker, Joey Carbone, Lisa Huang and Akira for the second single and second studio album of the Japanese boy band, KAT-TUN. The single was released in four editions and as such features four different covers; the three limited editions featured two solo songs from two members each.
"Best of KAT-TUN" is the debut album by Japanese boy band KAT-TUN, released in Japan on March 22, 2006 by J-One Records. Despite the title, it is not a greatest hits compilation album. KAT-TUN III: Queen of Pirates is the third studio album by Japanese boy band KAT-TUN and was released in Japan on June 4, 2008 by J-One Records. The album was issued in two editions; the limited edition came with four bonus tracks, a DVD with an extended version of the music video for their 2008 single "Don't U Ever Stop" and a short film chronicling the making of the video.

It was released on February 10, 2010 by their record label J-One Records. The title track was used as the theme song for the Tokyo Broadcasting System drama, Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, which stars member Kazuya Kamenashi.
"White" is the fifteenth single by Japanese boy band KAT-TUN. The track "White" is used in the "Sofina Otona no Bihaku" TV commercial, while "Perfect" is used in Kazuya Kamenashi's Aoki "3D Slim Suits" TV commercial.

It is their first single in eight months, since the release of "In Fact". The title track "Dead Or Alive" the main theme song for the film Joker Game starring member Kamenashi Kazuya, released on January 31, 2015. In addition, the single will include a Kamenashi Kazuya solo song and music video, the last member to release his solo promotional video in conjunction with the group's single releases. Titled "Hanasanaide Ai", his upcoming track is written and composed by Kinki Kids’ Domoto Tsuyoshi.
